We had not clocked that breakfast is not available every day of the week so worth checking whether it is available on the days you choose to stay. They offered coffee and cake as an option and the day we did have breakfast it was excellent. Staff were very helpful and engaging, especially Hannah who showed us to our room on the first day.

Cardiff Castle is an interesting place to visit as it has a small museum full of information about events relating to the castle & its history. I have also been there for music/food festival events too & both were really good. Is located within a fairly easy walk from town centre & defiantly worth a visit if you like history.

The location had many positives, including free parking on site, Sainsbury's right across the road, It was very close to Cardiff city centre (eg 10 mins walk to Cardiff castle) and only 2 minutes walk to Queen street station where you could get a cheap three minute train to Cardiff Bay. We never had to use the car once while we were there. The apartment was indeed spacious and very handy to have 2 bathrooms. Fixtures and fittings in kitchen very good. Smart TV useful.
The location, the room, and the staff were amazing. We parked a car in a nearby garage. We received about a 50% discount using the hotel code. The breakfast was delicious. You had the option of a cold buffet but could also order hot items a la carte. It was located right by the shops on a street closed to traffic. It was about a 5-10 minute walk to Cardiff Castle. The room was very clean. The staff were friendly, helpful, and just cheerful even when you walked past them. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Apartment was extremely clean and very comfortable. Perfect location for us visiting Cardiff Castle. Having private secure car parking was great. Contact and communication with Jay was great
Accommodation is near to shops
Easy access to Cardiff Castle
Only to note, no lift to carry heavy large luggage.
Otherwise, all is good
Staffs are very friendly and helpful
We really enjoyed staying at Ty Summerfield for an extended weekend. It felt like a home away from home and was equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay for our group. It is also an excellent location for easy access to key places to visit in Cardiff with the Cardiff Castle and Cardiff Bay, both less than 20 minutes drive away. All these at a very affordable price, and the communication with the host all went smoothly as well.
Location was superb. It is a five minute walk from Cardiff Castle. The Hays shopping precinct is about 10 minutes away and it is probably about 10 minutes walk from Cardiff train station. Plenty of restaurants around the vcinity, including the excellent Welsh House restaurant.
The rooms were very well sized and very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and professional and always ready to help.
Their buffet breakfast is pretty good too.
If you bring your car, the hotel does gives a good discount at a nearby carpark.
You know what you're getting with a Holiday Inn, and this was no exception. Directly across from Cardiff Castle provides some lovely views.

I love going around the Castles in Cardiff, Castle Coch is beautiful and unique in design and location, whilst Cardiff Castle in the centre of the city is truly amazing, with the architecture both interior and exterior breath-taking and brings to life how people lived then.

Cardiff Castle is a conglomerate of several monuments - the roman portion is under excavation. the castle itself on the motte (hill) was nicely restored, the House, done in gothic fantasy was well restored and over the top with gaudy detail. Didn't go into the clock tower, that too was gaudy. Glad I went, it is a landmark.
