Buckingham Palace
The Crown Jewels lie in the Tower of London, but the Queen’s Guard watches over the head that wears them. Although the role of the red-coated guards is purely ceremonial, join the hordes trying to break their legendary stare – or simply enjoy the pomp and ceremony of the daily Changing of the Guard. In summer, take a tour of the palace’s treasure-filled rooms.

It can be very warm in the Palace- loose clothing advised.
It can be very warm in the Palace- loose clothing advised. If you want the loo go first as public toilets are not available until the end of the tour. The Throne room is not the loo!!! It was fantastic and very informative.

You only visit this place to check off the "Buckingham Palace" mark on the bucket list. It's really not that cool from the outside. The statues in front are the coolest part of it. Overrated and SO many people you guaranteed will not get a good picture.

How is it that a country with so many people suffering with heating and eating bills can still afford to pay for a family to live in nine palaces? The royals only choice these days will be whether to have the grouse or the pheasant for lunch. No worry about heating bills for them.
The royal family do bring in an amount in terms of tourism but it is a tiny percentage of what we earn from tourism in general. It's time we made better use of the country's money!

If you're a royal like myself, do it. I loved it.
If you're a royal like myself, do it. I loved it. I could've spent more time looking at more but obviously it's still a working palace. It books out early so get in quick if you can. It's certainly not a tour to do on a whim.

5 min walk to Hyde Park.
20 min walk Kensington and if you keen walker like me go to Buckingham palace too.
It’s just around the corner from hop on off busses too and central to good shops and restaurants.
Will stay here again . Staff were friendly and happy.
It was very close to the big ben and Buckingham palace, also very close to a big bus station and subway. Location was perfect. The bed was comfortable even if a bit small
Good location, a short walk from Victoria Station. Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey and Big Ben can still be reached via moderate walks (about 25 min), plus there are some pubs, convenience stores, coffee shops etc within a 3 min walk.
We loved the location of this place. Half way between Buckingham palace and the Tower of London. Right next door was a place to grab a coffee or breakfast sandwich or a light lunch of soup, salad and sandwich. The staff was very helpful to us helping us find our way around London. A bonus was the washer and dryer we could use. Great place to stay.
