Excellent location for the cruise terminals and University. Very friendly and helpful staff, who in the main really tried to make our experience a good one. Just be aware that there is no lift, so if you have difficulty with heavy cases, request a ground floor room. Breakfast, although rather chaotic, the food was well cooked, hot and of excellent quality. Excellent dinner menu.
The room was adequate. However, although prepared for a busy road, we were not prepared to be woken at 6am with staff talking, doors banging and plates rattling in the kitchen below. If you have the chance, avoid room 8. This was a shame because I really wanted to like this hotel. Unfortunately, this spoilt our stay.

Excellent breakfast and as I was there to signwrite the outside of the building, I could not have been better located.
I took the opportunity of exploring this delightful town with its magnificent abbey.
I intend to return for a mini break in the future.

The place was physically beautiful and the grounds were gorgeous. I especially liked the fact that the grounds opened into the forest where we took the dog hiking. We had a ground floor room which was also very convenient with the dog.

Staff were super-helpful - we wanted to park a car long before check-in and pick it up long after check out - no problem at all. Staff in restaurant, in bar and at check in - all great. Right on the Test Way, which is what we wanted. Room clean, spacious and tidy. Just across the (busy) road is a wonderful footpath for walking, part of the Test Way, past Broadlands.
Very well located for a concert at Broadlands, within walking distance . Comfortable, clean and welcoming.Good choice for breakfast, pub style , good parking.
