Allow at least 2 days, ask the costumed volunteers/staff, wear comfy shoes and just enjoy this amazing place. Everyone we stopped and asked questions of were more than happy to explain what they were doing such as making nails or chains. In a lot of the houses and businesses there were people who knew the history of the building in which they stood and the people who used to live or earn their living there. The care and attention to detail in this place is second to none. It brings the industrial revolution truly to life. We paid the small extra charge on the first day that enables you to return for free within 12 months so we went back the next day and we would go again if we were in the area.

Great location for lots of things to do for a mini break for me and my two children. We visited the nearby Black Country Living Museum and Bella Italia. Kids loved the swimming pool but we didn’t know until we got to the pool that children were only allowed in there until 12.00 so had we have known, we would’ve come down a bit earlier as we had less than an hour in there. Maybe let families know at check in would be useful 🙂.

It's a clean, comfortable, well-run hotel whose friendly staff personalise what might have been a grimly corporate experience. Rooms have drawers, which is always useful, and TVs with functioning remote controls for a change. Good strong showers. You are within 10 min walk of Dudley town centre, Dudley castle & zoo and the Black Country Living Museum, though the hotel and surrounding area are really set up for motor vehicles.

We were using the house as a central location for a weekend visiting Cadbury World and the Black Country Living Museum. It was perfectly placed for both. Within walking distance of Dudley centre where there were good Indian restaurants. The central heating was excellent and warmed up the house very quickly.

Clean, comfortable and good value. We visited the Black Country Living Museum Which was within walking distance of the hotel. We were inspired to visit the museum after watching the "Peaky Blinders" TV series ... much of which was filmed at the Museum. This hotel reception and bar was furnished with a Peaky Blinders theme. Excellent, locally brewed, " real ale" ( cask) served at the bar.

The room was large and comfortable and had a great view from the window. The spa was very nice and the massages were very good although the they had run out of towels so it might be worth bringing your own. The breakfast was plentiful and the staff in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a good location very close to the Black Country Living Museum and Dudley Zoo.

Went for a Peaky Blinders night in the Black Country museum and stayed in the hotel overnight. The room was very simple but had everything you need including a smart tv and Kitchenette with EVERYTHING you might need including pots and pans! The property looks great, very much like 1930s. We also had breakfast in the morning which was amazing. The staff is very friendly. The location is great, just 10 min from the museum by walking. The price is fair. Overall loved this hotel and highly recommend if you visit Black Country Living Museum!
