The hotel is located about a 45 minutes walk on a good trail from Gavarnie (they will collect your luggage and transport by 4x4). On arrival you stay at the only building located within the glorious Circque de Gavarnie, a stunning location that Victor Hugo called "the Colosseum of Nature." The hotel is absolutely top quality and is possibly one of the most Romantic hotels on the Planet! Unique, remote and exceptional in every way. Very friendly and helpful staff. We were well looked after, particularly regarding the loan of an ice-pack to ease a troublesome back problem plus walking poles to aid a lovely walk to the Cirque de Gavarnie. Great views of the Cirque from the front of the hotel. Safe parking for our motorcycle.

We had a peaceful night's sleep in a comfy bed, the kitchen and bathroom were set up to a very high standard.
The location is just beautiful, surrounded by mountains and a waterfall nearby. The local town is just a couple of minutes drive away with a nicely stocked grocery shop and a couple of bars and restaurants.
