Since we were traveling to a small mountain village, I was not expecting to find the comfort of a brand new structure with attention to detail! The room was superb, with the heating working perfectly, a new comfortable mattress, and premium bedding with a choice of different cushions (which was critical for me as I suffer from neck pain).
The owners were very friendly and helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed at all times and providing us with useful information about the area.
Breakfast was delicious, with fresh croissants, homemade cakes, and genuine products from local farmers.
And lastly, I need to mention they have a ski storage with heaters for your ski boots!!! Wearing warm ski boots in the morning is the best way to start your skiing day!

Located in main street of Sestriere. Parking was okay (this is the off-season), could be a bit tight in later months. Because this was in June, not July, parking charges are not yet applied (the page on booking.com does warn of parking charges, which is good). Modern building, 24-hour reception. Everything is set up to work by scanning QR codes, which my phone and laptop don't do, however the receptionist patiently showed how to use an alternative login procedure (login page) which worked.

Useful location to break up long hike between Brunissard and Ceillac on Gr5. Nice to have a room after many nights in Refuges in the mountains. Great bakery at road junction for breakfast.

We booked for 1 night. The hotel is in a small alpine village high in the mountains and the scenery sensational. Mary Jane was our hostess and everything ran like clockwork. Dinner that night was amazing, (prepared by Maurice her husband), freshly caught mountain brown trout cooked to perfection and the starter of warm goat’s cheese had to be tasted to be believed. The local beer was very good and the local high alps wine we chose was incredible. Breakfast the next morning was a wonderful start to the day.
