We really enjoyed having the air con in the dome, it made our stay really comfortable at night.
We also loved being able to use the pool and hot tub.
The bean to cup coffee machine in the kitchen and kettle in our Dome were lovely additions. The welcome pack and shower were great.

Beautiful house about a lovely 10 min walk into Sarlet (uphill back !) Tastfully furnished .
Superior room was large and bright . Shutters kept the room dark at night . Bed super comfy . Plenty of lighting options for reading etc.
Pool area was wonderful, however due to the weather we did have not much of a chance to use it. Maybe next time!

The location was superb and the views were stunning! There was a pleasant outdoor area to sit and relax in with an aperitif. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed. We didn’t have time for breakfast as we were travelling on!

I think the area caters to both young and old with many activities to participate in for the active, especially children. Fabulous walks, river views and tranquility for those who wish to simply relax.

Vitrac is small but there was a nice restaurant near the accommodation, at the Chateau de Monfort, just a few minutes walk.
The furthest we drove was an hour for sightseeing at Monteparnez and also to the Lascaux Caves. Good place to act as a base. Lots of varied things to see and do.

We only really overnighted at Vitrac, it wasn't a sightseeing stop.
It was a convenient stop after visiting Sarlat earlier and before visiting Rocamadour the next day.
I did walk to the riverside and caught a great view of the bridge before leaving and it was impressive.

Great restaurants nearby, particularly recommend the Ferme Auberge Le Colombier, wonderful duck menu. The hotel is idealy situated to visit the Dordogne region. A must is a visit to Le Roc Gageac and a boat trip on a Gabare or for the more adventurous try canoeing or kayaking.
Great little hotel, run by helpful and very friendly staff. Lovely gardens and our son spent a good deal of time in the great pool. The room had aircon which was essential in these extreme temperatures, travelled with family and dogs and was made to feel very comfortable and at home. The hotel is in a great position, quiet and peaceful yet only a few minutes by car from the river and Vitrac. The owners have a lovely wee dog that is very friendly and accepting of other dogs. Great place to relax and enjoy the dordogne.
