The location is fantastic!!! Gorgeous, peaceful, great views with great walks. Even in the pouring rain it felt soecial. The breakfast was also perfect with a good range of food options and even fresh waffles which was a nice surprise! The staff were also happy to refill hot water and coffee and regularly checked that there was enough rolls. We also liked the Kneipp cold water from the lake.

We stayed in the Junior Suites (with a lake view) and it was really an awesome experience.
The room and the attached bathroom was quite spacious and had the necessary ammenities.
The breakfast was also quite up to the mark - didn't have too many options, but was enough for a sumptuous fill.
The staff at the hotel and at the restaurant was amazing - always eager to help and greeting with a smiling face.
We took our car and the underground parking was perfect with a lot of parking spots and easy access with elevator.

Really beautiful little town.
Really beautiful little town. Lots of interesting shops, great restaurants and very tempting pastries. The town is overlooked by the Alps affording spectacular views but there are also riverside walks and quaint streets to explore plus a Franciscan monastery and a castle. Plus Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein castles are a short bus ride or taxi ride away.

Wonderful, peaceful little town, perfect for those who love...
Wonderful, peaceful little town, perfect for those who love hiking and nature. There is an awesome reptile zoo nearby too, worth seeing. The people smile and say "hello" to strangers on the street and everyone decorates their houses almost as if it's some contest to make their property cutest. In spring the whole area is drowning in flowers blooming and sounds of birdsong.

It's beautiful, at the foot of the mountains. The downtown area is quaint and offers a wide array of shopping options that range from inexpensive to custom/higher end items. Many eateries and bakeries to choose from, with cuisine from all over the world. The town is not large, but has every feature we wanted. The local parks are amazing if you're traveling with kids! They had scooter paths, basketball, bike tracks, everything! The hiking trailheads can be found within walking distance from town and are lovely. It's only a 4 minute drive to Neuschwanstein Castle and makes getting there easy.

Make sure you receive a "Fussen Card" with your accommodation. Allow a full day to do the castles and make sure you are there for the morning (8 am )tickets so you can beat the bus loads of other tourists. Food from restaurants is expensive and parking for the day is 10 euro. Catch the bus for 3 euro and save your legs.
Hotel Sonne is close to the railway station which was perfect. We were initially put in a room that someone had obviously smoked in but they were happy to transfer us to an alternative room immediately.The Hotel provided a Fussen card which provided discounted or free entry to some of the museum's and on the buses, especially the ones going to the castles which was very handy. The restaurant Riwa is ideal for lunch/dinner but you are advised to book, as it gets very busy. Perfectly placed for walking around the pretty town.
Breakfast was excellent. The location would have been good if every road to the hotel hadn't been blocked by construction causing us and a bunch of other cars to drive around in frustration for two hours straight until the roads reopened. (Apparently Füssen doesn't care to support their local businesses by planning roadwork properly.) Most hotel employees were exceptionally helpful and accommodating. Employees gave good advice and directions. The bathrooms were very spacious. Seems like a child-friendly place.
A very nice, clean, quiet hotel close to Füssen. Our group of 3 had 3 single rooms, and all rooms were clean & spacious. All three of us were very satisfied with this hotel and we will definitively stay here when we go here again. The staff members are very nice, friendly, competent, patient, and are dressed in traditional Bavarian clothes – which are nice to see instead of business suits & ties. The free parking was nice & convenient. A nice breakfast buffet too.
Alles... This hotel is very well located in the old town of Füssen :) . It is a very charming area with a spectaculous architecture all around. The room was big and with a balconny and it included all what would be needed. We were welcome like if we were home. The breakfast was awesome and we could choose a large variety of local products. The hotel has a Restaurant on the ground floor with typical foods from the Bayern region.
The management was so friendly and accommodating. The room was very comfortable The location was just perfect, close to bus stop and walking all thru the town and along the lech river park. the hotel even provided you with a Fussen card for transportation. if you reserve a parking spot ahead you can even park car on location!!! The restaurant on site is wonderful German cuisine with other additions.

The hotel owner was extremely helpful, always ready to give useful hints for our stay. The hotel is close to the main attractions too. This is a proper traditional German hotel with a proper traditional German restaurant. Everything is very clean and really practical. The restaurant is very good, so I didn't need to think where I should go for dinner.

This was probably the cutest little hotel I've ever stayed at! It's not luxury- but definitely cute and quirky. The breakfast was AMAZING. Hotel provided and required plastic gloves to be worn at the breakfast (which I really thought was an excellent idea). Staff were friendly. Room was very clean and comfortable. Our landscape view of the mountains and lake as the backdrop from our room balcony was magnificent. Same view from the patio below where you dine. We had dinner in the restaurant, wait staff were dressed in authentic Germany wear adding to the already wonderful atmosphere. Food was exceptional also.
