About a 10 minute walk upto the castle from our hotel.
About a 10 minute walk upto the castle from our hotel. There are a lot of steps to climb on the way to the top, but plenty of pit stops on way if you need one. It is probably a good idea to pre-book your time & tickets to enter the Cathedral up there. It was very crowded at 12.pm when we got there & waited about 30 minutes before we could enter. There's a fantastic medieval pub on the way back down the steps to the right of the castle, dates back to 1600's and well worth a stop off for a beer.

A beautiful experience to wander about the castle grounds.
A beautiful experience to wander about the castle grounds. The palace was wonderful. The ceiling detail truly incredible.
The Golden Lane was a picturesque street of colourful houses inside the grounds castle. A look at modest dwellings of a goldsmith and others, and above the dwellings, a magnificant collection of knight's armour.
St. Vitus Cathedral was stunning. An amazing work of art in every sense of the word. And there was just so much to see. Simply amazing.
These are just a few of the highlight from the Castle.
Tip: buy the map of the castle if you are tourning on your own.

Buy the no line ticket. It was a breeze to get in.
Buy the no line ticket. It was a breeze to get in. The cathedral was packed but we just strolled the gardens and came back in the afternoon and got right in. The views back at the castle and of the city from the summer palace are Exquisite. Lots of uneven walking so wear comfy shoes.

visit the church first, we got there before it opens at 9am, but it was not ready to open so we see other sights, it is a big mistake, too many people by the time we got there. the church is worth seeing, grand. the gallery is boring, waste of money. eat at the cafe at the palace garden, less people, free toilet, good food. We bought a tickets that covered the whole palace, which is not worthy. Art gallery has nobody, very few paintings. the military parade is worth seeing. Get there by bus, so you don't have to climb uphill, save energy for the rest of the day.

The cashier selling tickets must be one of the rudest and most unhelpful I've ever come across. She may not like her job but there's no need to treat customers like a piece of dirt on her shoe. Quite upset me and spoilt what would otherwise have been a good day out.

Our second time at the Prague castle was not a pleasant...
Our second time at the Prague castle was not a pleasant experience as this time we had our dogs with us. Even if on their website and in reviews it´s stated that dogs are allowed on the castle ground but not inside the rooms, our experience was different. After walking about 2km to the upper entrance, security told us that because there is a private event that day, dogs are not allowed on the castle grounds unless they have a muzzle (which of course we didn´t bring along with us). So after going back 2 km and passing through another entrace, we saw a couple going pass security with their dog (without a muzzle) so we tried to do the same. They told us this was the rule for that day, but eventually they let us in because we pointed out other dogs that were there without muzzles

Comfortable hotel near Prague Castle in quiet location. Very helpful staff and lovely breakfast. Many thanks to reception staff and Victoria in particular for translating! Interesting cafes and bars nearby. Would stay there again
We had an amazing stay here. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The apartment was beautiful, spacious and clean, it had everything we needed. Tea and coffee topped up and bins cleaned daily, which we weren’t expecting, but was a nice touch. We really loved it! Location is awesome. St Nicholas church right outside your doorstep, short walk to Prague Castle, Charles bridge and old town. Restaurants/cafes, bars, shops, everything you need is there. 10/10 👏🏻
The position was great: close to Charles bridge and Prague Castle but far enough from the main turistic streets. Hotel is small and minimal but all details are highly maintained. The rooms are nice and the view on the old historical street was cozy.
Liked that the room was more than what we expected. It was huge for it's price. Had it's own kitchen with dishwasher, like an apartment. Had 2 toilets and also a washing machine. The beds can accommodate 2 adults and 1 child and still had space. The extra sofa bed was big too.
The location was superb. In a quiet neighborhood that's very close to Lennon Wall and the Charles Bridge. A 10-min walk to the Prague Castle also.
Friendly and very helpful staff, the guy at the front desk helped me arrange my transportation service seamlessly. The room was great, the shower was quite spacious. I mean, it is a very good hotel on an optional location near the Prague castle. %100 recommend it
Upon our arrival the receptionist upgraded our room for free to a much bigger room with a jacuzzi and a kitchenette which was great because my daughter was very happy about the jacuzzi. Also the location was great and very convenient for us. It was near the main train station and the I.P. Pavlova metro station. Another convenient aspect is that from the hotel there is a direct tram (tram 22) to the Prague Castle and to Mala Strana, and to the Mala Strana side of Charles Bridge.
Flexible check-in time and you can leave your luggage after check-out. The hotel is located near a tram stopand is closetoPrague Castle and the big shopping centers.

We recently stayed at hotel Wenceslas Square, where the room boasted a splendid view of the Prague Castle. The service was exceptionally friendly, and Natasha’s warm welcome made us feel right at home. Our dog was not only welcomed but also felt quite comfortable. Additionally, the breakfast was truly delightful. Highly recommend for a cozy stay!
Amazing hotel, the team here could not do enough for you. A warm welcome with information on the area, greeted with drinks and snacks when returning to the hotel. They provided a complementary lift to the Prague castle which was really appreciated. The breakfast was lovely lots of options and the hotel rooms were spotlessly clean.
Perfect stay. We were extremely satisfied with everything. We asked the manager for an earlier check-in and not only did she oblige, but we also got a bigger room upgrade. The room was very well prepared. The hotel is located in the very historic heart of Prague right next to the amazing Charles Bridge and a short distance below the Prague Castle. The food at the local restaurant was delicious. I will definitely come back.
