This small hotel is in walking distance to the Great Wall of China, but the owner offered to drive us there instead of walking. The couple who own the hotel speak some English, especially the wife. Both were very friendly and went our of their way to be helpful. The lady of the house's cooking was out of this world--best Chinese food I ever ate in China--and I have been to many places there.

We had a great time in this place! The owner cared for us with transportation to and from the airport (extra fee of course) as well as to and from the wall and tickets to the wall and chairlift. We didn't have to worry about anything. The food was good as well. This is perfect for a 24 hr visa-free visit.

Angel and Tony were the perfect hosts. Not only were they very nice and welcoming but they were very accommodating and helpful with everything. Angel booked us the tickets to the Great Wall as well as accompanied us there and to a tea ceremony afterwards.
The rooms were very nice and comfortable and the homestay was also very well decorated with paintings made by Tony. The breakfast they prepared was tasty and they tailor it to their guests.
After forgetting a piece of clothes at the hotel, they immediately offered to have it shipped to our hotel in Beijing.
I could not recommend this homestay more highly if you are thinking of visiting the Great Wall!
