the Mild Spring Boutique Hotel is a home away from home. its design is traditional and yet home like. the owners, Mr. and Mrs. Tsao were always available to offer their kind assistance. we felt most welcomed the minute we arrived. the room was quiet, spacious, clean and comfortable. we were served its local tea which was soothing and refreshing. breakfast was delicious. its location was central with lots of great restaurants within walking distance. Mr. Tsao arranged for our day tour of the ancient cities and lunch. we enjoyed our excellent stay. highly recommend.

Bed was nice, the staff was very friendly and helpful with giving us directions as to where restaurants are and how to get to the popular tourist attractions such as the Old Street or how to get to the high speed train station. She even mentioned how much it would cost when going by taxi so we wouldn't get scammed. Optional breakfast was very cheap and you can eat as much as you need for only 10 rmb.

The hotel is located in Tunxi Old Road, which is a historic district which is popular for tourists. However I myself was not there to visit Tunxi but rather the Huangshan mountain itself, so I didn't really explore the area too much. The hotel is in an old historic wooden building, and is somewhat hard to find (have to go down an alley). The staff member was very nice and helped arrange a bus for me to go to the mountain, which was affordably priced. However since the building is wooden, that means it's creaky, and there are noises that can be heard such as rain and people walking around. So, if you are a light sleeper this could be an issue. But overall I am satisfied with the hotel. Also the staff member helped deliver an item I left behind in the room, which I appreciate.

The host is truly amazing! Super helpful person! The location is great. The room is located in an old building and it’s somewhat cute.
