Built in 1915 and representing an important part of the historical heritage of Lausanne, the Lausanne Palace is an elegant 5-star hotel in the heart of the business and shopping district.

The hotel was actually slightly more "up market" than we expected, which made our stay even more enjoyable and comfortable.
The Mirabeau Hotel can be found only 400 metres away from the train station and a 5-minute walk from the city centre of Lausanne. Free Wi-Fi and wired internet access is available in all rooms.

Just up from the station, just away from the hustle and bustle of Lausanne
Fabulous hotel. Great rooms, and attentive service.
We left a bag in the room and the concierge were really great, sending it back to us within 24 hours.
This hotel is far beyond our expectation. Although the room is not spacious, it contains various amenities you need - even little things you would not expect (e.g. adaptors). The decoration is very beautiful and stylish. The reception would give you free drink for each person upon your arrival, and there are even 2 bottles of water and 2 bottles of soft drink inside the room. Of course coffee pods are there for free. We loved this hotel and we can definitely say that it is worth the money you spent.
The room was big and very light. There was a desk, TV and two chairs. There was lots of utensils and crockery for coking. The staff were very friendly, it was easy to get into the hotel after hours and there were leaflets on things to do around the area. The free transport pass was easy to access.
The room was spacious, with room to work comfortably and spread ourselves out. The bathroom had a good shower and was clean and in good condition. The bed was very comfortable. Although close to the city centre, the street the hotel itself was on was very quiet and peaceful.
Lausanne was fun, and the hotel is quite central. If you come by train you can take the metro (M2) right to the 'Ours' stop, and the hotel and its restaurant are right across the street. They don't do breakfast (although there is after all a restaurant) but there's a nice café right across the street.
Location, Location, Location.
Subway is just next door and the hotel gave a free 24-hours day pass for us to get around. So no need to drive in the city.
Has a lot of parking lots which is a bit surprise to me.
I stayed here already a few times because of a school course - it was consistently clean and tidy, the staff is really nice and helpful. Good location (the metro station is just at the hotel) close to the different schools and universities and not too far from downtown Lausanne.
Business hotel just for tourist or workers. Ideal location for a short stay can be a cheap solution and a good alternative to other more expensive hotels. This hotel do not represent the real Switzerland trend and quality, of course for people searching emotions travelling in this great regions, the Vaud and valais.
Helpful, friendly staff and good-sized room. The location on the port is ideal, with cafes and restaurants nearby, also a convenient small supermarket with long opening hours. The free public transport ticket offered by the hotel makes getting to and from the city centre using the nearby metro very straightforward. The restaurant downstairs is good (although, of course, twice as expensive as its equivalent in Belgium or France).
