The apartment is really nice with a beautiful sunset view from the balcony. The whole team was so friendly and nice! The host Julia even took time for showing us the local trees and fruits in the garden, and helped us a lot with restaurant reviews and suggestions what we could do around here and and what the nicest beaches are.

The Refugio is a peaceful paradise: the building is beautifully designed and the garden is lush. The beach is in effect private, even if not officially, because of the location. The views are amazing. The cutlery, sink, water tap, and coffee station are available all the time so you can eat and drink outside of the breakfast hours. Breakfast itself was great and plenty of buffet options - freshly baked pastries, fruit, yoghurt, meats and cheeses - as well as eggs or tapioca cooked to order. The room was very clean with a large bed and bathroom. You can fairly easily get a taxi to nearby Santo Antonio de Lisboa, probably the prettiest town on the island. Finally, the family who own and run the hotel are a lovely team and very welcoming. Muito obrigado!

Breakfast was incredible! We had beautiful cakes and breads made freshly for us each morning along with a whole range of homemade jams and spreads, beautiful cheeses and whatever hot food we wanted or some things we hadn’t tried before. We were completely spoiled. We ate dinner there too and had the same fantastic treatment.

My brother and I spent 4 nights at Casa Rosa. The house is beautiful and furnished with great attention to detail. The room was clean and cozy. Rosa Maria and her daughters are very sweet, we had nice conversations and were even invited to lunch once. We were also able to get to know their cats and dog. We would definitely come here again.
