The most amazing castle we've seen in all of our European adventures! The tour was fantastic, the falconry show was amazing. We definitely recommend a small group tour to understand the history of this fantastic castle.

The proprietor is friendly and the breakfast is exceptional with made to order eggs.
There are great activities around the area such as Hohenwerfen castle, Saltmines, Ice caves, and the sound of music meadow trail. If you are using this as a jumping off point to Salzburg, park at P+R Salzburg Sud and take the bus into Salzburg to avoid parking issues in the old city.
A nice clean room with a great view of the beautiful mountains. The accommodation has its own restaurant and parking space. It's just a few minutes walk from Hohenwerfen Castle.
Great view of the Hohenwerfen Castle from our balcony and a short drive to Eisriesenwelt Ice Cave. The room was very comfortable, and it was a real bonus having a Nespresso coffee machine. Easy, and plenty of parking.
This boutique hotel is a true gem! From our window, we had a captivating view of the historic Burg Hohenwerfen castle. The breakfast was very good and rich. Our room was spotless and well-equipped with all necessities. Free parking conveniently located next to the hotel. The owner's warm and friendly nature made our stay even more memorable. The welcome drink on arrival - and seated on the terrace, seeing the view for the first time - was much appreciated.
The breakfast was plentiful and tasty, with a choice of eggs cooked to order. Our room (number 3) had a small terrace where you could sit out and drink in the view. The hotel was happy for you to take drinks (the draft beer was lovely) to your room if you preferred.

Great location with amazing view. The staff was extremely friendly, the room clean and comfortable and breakfast delicious. Definitely recommend arriving by car (free parking is on site). There are a few really good restaurants in nearby town. Hohenwerfen Castle is a must to visit. We were happy to see there a program with flying falcons, bald eagles and griffon vultures.
