Thank you so much for your warmest welcome Andi and Yuki. We enjoyed our stay very much even though it was short, it was wonderful. The room was very clean, comfortable, and tidy. Your onsen was unforgettable as well as great cups of coffee with a beautiful view, and your homemade chocolate. Merci beaucoup - ありがとうございました。

It's a spacious apartment, only a short drive from the airport, walking distance into town and close to supermarkets. 45 min drive to Reykjavik and lots of scenic excursions are a short drive away. Approx 30 mins to see the Bridge Between Continents, the lava pools, volcano 2hour drive to Geysir. 1.5 hours to Selfoss and 3hours to Vik. The apartment is an excellent base of operations:) The beds are very comfortable, sauna and outdoor hot tub are amazing. Plenty of towels. The music surround system is very cool. The apartment feels safe and secure. The washing machine and drier are decent so i'd recommend staying for at least a week and packing light and just do laundry as required. Actually, our clothes dried on the radiators in the gym so didn't need the drier. Fernando's is a good local place to order tasty pizza from. General tip: There is a car hire place in Keflavik so you if you're tired from your flight, you could just use the free shuttle to the apartment then sort out car hire later. If you do hire a car at the airport, I'd recommend using Europacar, Hertz or Avis as they have desks at the airport. There are few other places that operate out of a unit 10 mins from the airport and it was a bit of a faff getting shuttled there, sorting out paperwork (which we had to input all our details again even though we had prebooked) and having to drop the car back at 4am for our 6.30am flight. We've hired a car 3 times in Iceland and still find the process a bit murky as there are a lot of different comparison sites and companies who are agents for different car hire companies but they seem to share a pool of cars!

Looking for a hotel with jacuzzis?

Stepping into a hot tub and relaxing in its warm water is bliss. If you opt for a hotel with a jacuzzi, you can do this any time you like – morning, afternoon, or evening. Some hotels offer guests private hot tubs, while others have a shared jacuzzi that’s usually part of a wellness spa.

Very spacious, super clean and comfortable. Wish we stayed more than one night! We really enjoyed our stay (and shower, really love the modern bathroom-do). Communication with Steinthora was smooth and prompt. Thank you for setting up the cot for us and organized a taxi for my parents. We were also amazed at the property's clear labels for waste and recycle. 6 mins drive to airport.

Had a lovely stay here the night before our flight home. Very large house, nice & modern with beautiful furnishings. TV in lounge was huge which had Netflix - bonus!! Entrance to house is up 1 flight of steps. Very cosy & warm inside, lots of radiators. Large kitchen was well equipped except no can opener & cutlery a bit sparse. Beds were comfy & warm. Bathroom quite small which was downstairs, no toilet upstairs with bedrooms. Overall a great stay, would recommend.

Liked that the room was very quiet, very easy to get a taxi for the early morning flight, price for the night was brilliant compared to usual prices in Iceland and most of all loved the spa - hot tub and infared sauna! Exellent way to relax after a long day of travel.

We stayed here in our last night in Iceland, it’s close to the airport & we had a 6.30am flight. The room was clean, comfortable and had the basics - nothing unnecessary here. Shared bathrooms were clean, spacious & modern. Shared guest lounge & kitchen had everything needed for a snack or hot drink. Our pre-booked taxi at 4am didn’t show up so the Manager took us which was great! 30 min walk to downtown Keflavik for dinner.

Close to Keflavik airport, 5min by taxi. The room was light, quiet and spacious, with a lot of storage space, it had a walk-in wardrobe. Private bathroom, perfectly clean, we got big towels and bathrobes. Comfortable beds with clean sheets. There is a dining room/chillout room on the first floor where guests can make a coffee/tea (with no limits), included in the price. There are sofas to relax and have a drink. Perfect for travellers.

Very close to the airport as well as to the ongoing volcano eruption. Also the Covid-19 test centers are close which is good if you need them. They offer a nice common area with free coffee, tea, hot chocolate and biscuits. While you can't cook there, you can prepare and have your own meals. We did not include the offered breakfast, so we can't say anything about it. The spa was nice with a very relaxing hot pot and is rather cheap. You even get a bathrobe for the spa area.

Free wifi, really homey. Two kitchen type areas but no hobs, just microwave, kettle and a grill plate thingy. Downstairs lounge lovely with selection of books and free biscuits. Plenty of cereals, tea, coffee and milk, and a few bits and pieces left by other guests for folks to use. Upstairs dining area also light and airy. Hot tub was empty with an inivitation to fill it, but I couldn't be bothered to wait. Wifi is free. Free parking in spaces out the front along the road.
