Stayed at The Primrose a couple of weeks ago and could not possibly overstate just how much my husband and I loved this place. The Inn itself is beautiful, the rooms and common rooms all decorated so tastefully, and the location was fantastic - a short drive to Acadia, or a 10 minute or less walk into the center of Bar Harbor. The breakfasts were incredible, and the extra tea/coffee/snacks provided were always welcomed. What made this place all the more special was the staff, especially Jill and Rebecca who absolutely made our stay with their warmth, hospitality, and patience with my many questions! We were there at the end of the off-season/very beginning of the busy season so it was still quiet in town, which personally we loved. Still plenty open, and made it that much more enjoyable in the park without the crowds. We will 100% be staying there again should we ever find ourselves in that part of the world again.

Agamont Park is just 700 metres from the inn, which is only 100 metres from West Street Historic District. Acadia National Park is 1.6 km away. We stayed here for 3 nights and loved it! The room was super cute, looked like a bedroom in a house more than a hotel room. Lots of light, comfy beds and spotless. The front desk was very helpful, Paula gave us some great recommendations (even tho her foot was in a cast!) for hikes in the area. She was very kind and friendly! The hotel was pretty quiet as well, some road noise but nothing out of the ordinary. I’m a light sleeper and I didn’t have any issues. The breakfast was a grab and go style with excellent muffins. The area was great as well, an easy 5-10 min walk to the downtown area. Eat at Galyn’s! We’ve eaten there both times we visited Bar Harbour and imo it’s the best restaurant in the downtown area.
