Stayed at The Primrose a couple of weeks ago and could not possibly overstate just how much my husband and I loved this place. The Inn itself is beautiful, the rooms and common rooms all decorated so tastefully, and the location was fantastic - a short drive to Acadia, or a 10 minute or less walk into the center of Bar Harbor. The breakfasts were incredible, and the extra tea/coffee/snacks provided were always welcomed. What made this place all the more special was the staff, especially Jill and Rebecca who absolutely made our stay with their warmth, hospitality, and patience with my many questions! We were there at the end of the off-season/very beginning of the busy season so it was still quiet in town, which personally we loved. Still plenty open, and made it that much more enjoyable in the park without the crowds. We will 100% be staying there again should we ever find ourselves in that part of the world again.

Select rooms offer a private balcony or terrace. One of the best breakfast of my entire trip in Maine, the Inn was amazing, great comfort, great staff and perfect cleaning! I would love to return here.

Incredible BnB, beautifully decorated with gorgeous bedrooms and relaxing space for guests. Everything is brand new and well thought out. Each bedroom has a stunning bathroom and a big walk-in closet and a lovely balcony to enjoy the morning sun with a cup of tea. The beds are gigantic with super soft bedding, they are pure luxury! The hosts, Martha and Tim, are so welcoming, friendly and helpful with local knowledge of walks and places to eat. The breakfast is incredible, all home cooked and super tasty. We never wanted to leave.

Loved the front street facing room with the small terrace with bar stools to see world go by. The beds were very comfortable and the AC worked really well. The inn is well loved and very well kept in all regards. Excellent breakfast- kind and caring staff. Beautiful park like grounds with fire pit and great parking behind inn. Nice walk to town- not too far, not too close- just right! Afternoon cookies and cheese were nice touch - I’d definitely come back and stay here. Felt very homey to me and my son!
The staff was friendly and helpful, especially Jessica, Richard and Amoy. The pictures don't do the place justice, it's even nicer than it looks! And the complimentary breakfast is enough to fuel the beginning of your day. We would definitely come again!

Great little Inn with perfect location to explore Bar Harbor and surrounding areas. The breakfast was amazing every day and inn keeper Chris makes you feel so welcome and is super helpful with any tips during your stay. We can’t wait to come back!
My husband and I spent a weekend at Sand Bar Cottage Inn for our baby moon and my birthday and we absolutely loved it. We ended up asking to change our room and Chris was wonderful and made the change for us. We were so happy with our new room which was very spacious, cozy, clean and had a great hot tub. The breakfast was delicious and Chris was always available and checking on us. The location is also great, and we’re able to walk to the restaurants. We were sad to leave but definitely planning on coming back.
Great Location, Charming house and accommodating innkeeper
Everything, this is simply amazing!. The innkeeper Chris has become a friend for life, such a gentleman and someone who very much cares to ensure you have the best experience possible. The whole stay was just simply wonderful, this has the wow factor! The breakfast and refreshments later in the day, were simply gorgeous, a talented and amazing chef! I really could not recommend this place highly enough, we didnt want to leave!!
