Taupo
Just 2 minutes’ walk from Lake Taupo, Acapulco Motor Inn offers air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen satellite TV and a DVD player. It features a hot tub and a barbecue area with outdoor seating. Free parking is available on site. We appreciated that our heat pump was turned on before our arrival. The spa bath was lovely and I appreciated the natural bath products. The cooked breakfast was well presented and delicious. We were given a free newspaper. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.

It is located in National Park Village, 25 km from Mount Ruapehu. Free private parking is available on site. Sink in the room n°1 , the room was clean and tidy, friendly staff
Matamata
Located in central Matamata, 20 minutes' drive from the Hobbiton movie set, Horse and Jockey Inn offers 50 MB of free Wi-Fi. The on-site family restaurant includes a range of gluten-free and vegetarian options. Great property! Great food! All round good value for money!
It's very well located (close to the beginning of many tracks). The place is clean, the bed is confortable. The breakfast is very good. Emmaly, Josh and Gillian were all very nice, they gave me good advice to enjoy some tracks despite the weather being not that good ^^ Thanks !
Spacious living areas kitchen dinning. Beautiful view of lake nice to sit out on balcony. Bedroom was good. Very clean house.
The room is very nice and very well equipped. It's really new and very tastefully furnished. We found our breakfast in the room ( refrigerator ) and it was ok . Our host Mrs Kylie was really very nice and she give us some advices for dinner in town
The spa pool is great to ease aching legs after a long walk. The view is beautiful, right on the lake. Our 1 bed apartment was spacious and our daughter loved the beanbags. Would recommend dinner at Dixie Browns in the town centre.
Wonderful location - right on the river. Creel has a rustic feel but it's comfortable - but not so luxurious that a fisherman or young family wouldn't feel at home. The cabins, angled away from one another, give an impression of seclusion and look over lovely gardens. And there's a lovely little Cafe on the doorstep.

The bush, the quietness and rustic charm. We loved the feel of the place, its warmth and decor. Such a pleasure to be somewhere that strives to be at one with nature. Wonderful breakfast provisions and the homemade sourdough was lovely.
Host (Warren) was very friendly and accommodated our late arrival. Lovely breakfast and comfortable room. Lodge is very close to Thames and gorge for Pinnacles hike

Convenient overnight stop on route to Wellington. Spacious 2 bed townhouse, all we needed. Had dinner at local tavern which was lovely
