Free private parking is available and the inn also offers bike hire for guests who want to explore the surrounding area. The location was easy to find with Google Maps. It is a small village in rural area. Perfect if you don't like tourist hotspots: a complete immersion in the local life. The rooms are individual little houses with a bedroom and bathroom. It is very basic, but the most important things are there: toilet (without toilet seat) and shower (not sure if hot water worked, we didn't tried that). The ceiling of the bathroom as quite low, about 1.80m. Beds (2 beds of 150cm x 200cm) were very comfortable and the AC worked very well! There is even a TV in the bedroom. The host family was super friendly and they made an excellent breakfast and dinner. Few important things: - Take some Spanish classes, so you can communicate with the family. It's very interesting and fun to interact with them. - Don't forget your mosquito repellent! It's a rural area. - Again, it's rural area with rural sounds. Be prepared for some 'noise' crowing roosters, turkeys, barking dogs etc.
Campeche

Nice, clean room with a fridge. Private parking on the property. It is not in the city center but if you have a car it is not a problem.

The hotel has a nice inner patio, and the location is really good for discovering the old town.
Our stay at Otoch Béek was perfect! The cottage was comfortable, had AC, a hot shower, large bed with a mosquito net, and a fridge. The owner was very friendly and gave us great recommendations regarding visiting Calakmul (the starting checkpoint is a 45 minute drive away) and where to go for dinner (Xpujil is a 10 minute drive away and has many great restaurants). We were provided with some snacks for our early morning trip to Calakmul and the next day when we woke a bit later, a delicious breakfast with coffee. Fantastic!
The room was absolutely beautiful and so comfortable. The staff were really nice and we had a really lovely dinner there. The mini bar was really well stocked and the prices were incredibly reasonable! We felt completely immersed in nature which was amazing.
We enjoyed our stay at Casa Maya Calakmul. We stayed at this small hotel because of our visit to Becan and Calakmul, Very good Mexican dinner and breakfast. Friendly staff. We were able to do our laundry and use the fridge in the communal area. WIFI and air conditioning were decent. Good for 2 nights.
Rustic studio in a vaste area; nice restaurant
Lovely little guest house. Beautiful design. The staff are fantastic and the pool is a little bonus for cooling off. Would happily stay again. Breakfast is lovely. Cooked fresh in front of you by the friendly staff.
dinner is excellent with good service, good food staff are helpful the room is excellent and spacious, a bit like an adventure living in a forest comfortable stay with excellent breakfast
Great host and great breakfast (fruits, toast and jam, eggs). Had a good dinner at the next door restaurant as well. Good bed!
