Inside the gate was lovely, Beaufort garden and lovely view of the beach. Host was brilliant, couldn't be better Right on the beach so the sunrises were great

Owner was really nice and caring. He organized scooter rental for me and even dropped me to the bus station when I was leaving. There was the kitchen you can use and beach is just 200m away.
we stayed three nights at ubay guest house and it was really fantastic. great location, very close to the beach, there is short cut that leads directly to the beach! food was super delicious and there is lots of bars and other restaurants close by. and now to the staff: the staff is fabulous, they are so kind and helpful. big thank you to Paul, he made it possible for us to rent a scooter from uppaveli till nuwara elyia, what a great service!
The access to pool and beach are great. Very beautiful sit down area near pool and dinning room. Very easy check i and out. Very close to Thirukoneswaram temple and Bathrakali Amman temple. 24 hour security and very safe for female travellers. Ample space for families with small children. The accommodation itself is very reasonably priced compared to the facilities. Definitely will go back again.
The owner of the guest house was welcoming and hospitable, she prepared a delicious breakfast for us every morning and made sure we had everything we needed. Her husband even allowed us to borrow his scooter for a quick trip to buy some stuff, which we were able to easily return after an hour. The room was clean, but we did not have any hot water. However, this was not a major inconvenience and we were still able to manage.
Ubay Guest House is a high quality accommodation 200 meters away from Uppuveli beach. The surroundings are modest but you can find everything you may need. The bed was extremely comfortable. The food from Paul’s (the host) restaurant is very delicious! I had fresh prawns and fish and was mesmerized. Recommended!
The chef is very personal and asks a day before what I would like for breakfast and dinner. DeSilva is a phenomenal chef, some of the best food I’ve had in srilanka.
Absolutly lovely hotel with private beach. Breakfast was delicious and dinner was good too. Staffs were very friendly and helpful. Room with bath was large. We have lucky because we were in hotel before season so it was not crowded. 👍🌴
Very nice location. Manager and staff are very helpful an friendly. It's possible to order dinner and it will directly served on the own terace. The very large beach is near by (mostly completely empty, beginning of March)and sometimes it's possible to observe local fishermen at work.
Absolutely amazing peaceful location on a quiet beach with just 1 other cottage and fisherman. We swam each day on our beach. Beautiful and modern bungalow. Very special dinners and breakfasts each day meticulously prepared by the sweet manager. we walked to the local Trinco Beach and town and rented a scooter for a couple of days at a great price..
The staff is so kind and attentive, there was always someone tending to the garden, preparing a chair at the beach for you, felt very well looked after. Also, I was confused by the comments, but I really feel like it was a good value for money. The breakfast was very good. I also had dinner there once and really enjoyed the prawn curry. The bungalow was nice and clean. During the day it was hot inside, but at night it was confortable with the fan.
Absolutely one of the best guest houses I've been to since I'm in Sri Lanka. The location is perfect, few meters from the beach. Very quiet and lot of restaurants nearby. Rangan, the owner, is one of the kindest person I ever met and also a skilled chef. I really recommend to have dinner at the guest house and enjoy his cooking skills!
