This house was extremely clean, comfortable, and in a quiet and safe area close to the train station. It is only a 2 min walk to a grocery store and 3 min walk to Family Mart. Hori, the owner, was the best! She provided everything that we needed and was very responsive prior and during our stay. The house has 4 toilets, 2 showers, and a washing machine with drying function. The house is very well taken care of. Everythjng is new and worked perfectly. Thank you, Hori!!!

We finally had a decent spacious and big room (if you have been in Japan you know rooms are super small). Our room here was huge, had all the amenities we needed. The staff was very friendly too.

The staff were wonderful and very accommodating. The inn was very relaxing and the deck was an added bonus.
This was by far the best room we had in all Japan. It was quite spacious and we finally could feel with more freedom inside the room. Furthermore, the extra additional “Japanese style” living room was very handy, as we could have and cook nice dinner or early breakfast right in the room. The room was spotless and had all necessary amenities. Transport to move around the city were within walking distance
We had an amazing time! Thanks to the wonderful innkeepers and all the helpful staff. The room was spotless and well-equipped with a microwave, washing machine and dryer. There was no extra charge for this. The bedrooms were also very shaded at night. What impressed us the most was the excellent communication from the inn. When we left on our last day, the hostel owner gave us a very convenient route to the airport, which saved us a lot of trouble!
Loved the custom dinner we requested and breakfast in our room! Delicious meals beautifully prepared and presented! Also, had the most restful sleep on the futon pillowtop with comforter that was made up for us each night. In addition, I want to mention that each member on their staff were so welcoming, gracious and were always one step ahead of anticipating our needs. We look forward to a return visit!
The dinner is superb. The optional wagyu was so tender, it melts in your mouth. You also can wear yukata’s while on premise for more authentic feel. The cedar soaking tubs had nice aroma. This quaint historic building is a generational-family-run ryokan. It’s nestled in a quiet neighborhood. The toilets are very modern and clean! The cotton and down futons are extremely comfortable! It feels like sleeping on a cloud. It was the best sleep I’d gotten during the whole time I was in Japan. They provide fresh towels and robes daily. The view from our room was incredible! The inn-keeper and staff are friendly and welcoming. I hope to be back soon!
The guest house is well located, at least for everything we've planned in Kyoto, nearly at the center of it all. Bus lines and subway nearby, same for supermarkets, konbinis and restaurants, in a calm area. Inside, everything is provided, neat and clean, well organized. Easy to talk with the staff through Whatsapp for any question we had. We slept in the tatami bedroom and it was comfortable. Trash bins in good amount (although we were pretty heavy in that area, so sorry). All in all, a great experience in that house.
The dinner kaiseki is great! The location is absolutely amazing. It's a bridge away from the main town, 20 min walk away from the bamboo forest, and right next to the monkey park. I really liked the private onsen as I went there with just my partner.
We liked how spacious the room was and the kind innkeeper that guided us to our room and showed us the ropes, she was the sweetest. The bath was nice too, but definitely not big enough for two people so it was good only one of us went. The location is great and in the Gion District and also a 5 minute walk from the station!
our host is a great person and unlike a hostel or classic guest house, we felt at home. the dinner was amazing. Wish him the best for the future.
