The Pont y Pair Inn has a lovely atmosphere, a sense of being on your own local pub. Friendly and helpful .and very hard working staff, cosy rooms (with muddy boot tray and extra wooly blanket!)and excellently prepared food (the hotel is part of Punch Taverns I believe so I presume restricted to what they can put on the menu). Certainly would recommend anybody to stay
The guest house is cosy and comfortable. The owners run it themselves and serve breakfast every morning. They offered to take us to the beginning of one of the Snowdon trails, which was very generous with his time. It all felt very nice!
Could not fault the service and general feel of Oakfield Guest House. Hosts were lovely. Very friendly. Jeanette went out of her way to give suggestions for walking trails and places of interest in the area. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty and even thought we ordered a good deal for breakfast, still Jeanette wanted to feed us more. Nothing was too much trouble, including trying to find us la.st minute dinner reservation on a bank holiday weekend
Old historic Inn
The Interior was rustic yet modern with an excellent theme that was relevant to a guest house by the sea. The rooms were clean and fresh and the beds were extremely comfortable, hosts were approachable, friendly and attentive.
No fuss, no frills guest house. Exactly as advertised. Read various reviews about the Tegfan and booked it because the likes of Premier Inn were more than double the price. Perfectly adequate room with TV and kettle. The shower and toilet were separate but working fine (lovely hot shower). The breakfast served at the Anglesey Arms was just the thing to set you up for the day. Staff were welcoming and friendly too. All in all a good place to stay and I'd have no hesitation staying at the Tegfan again.
Well placed guest house in the centre of Caernarfon. The restarant and bar for Ty Dre are are at the Black Boy Inn (round the corner) and these were fine with a good menu available. It was a very hot weekend during our stay which did cause us some issues as the rooms are not air-conditioned, but the staff did their utmost to try and alleviate the heat as much as they could. The bed in the room was comfortable and the bathroom well appointed.
Great location. Historic inn with excellent facilities and reasonable price
We booked into the Eskrine Arms for dinner which was beautiful and then breakfast was back over there which was also great! Location of the guest house is perfect! Beautiful rooms, we will definitely return at some point
