Breakfast was one of the nicest I have ever had lovely food and well presented. Dinner was a lovely and varied choice of meals - The quality again was superb. Staff were very polite, helpful and attentive.
Staff were amazing and friendly. Breakfast and dinner food were delicious. Lots of choice and cooked nicely. Good produce.
Don't think this is an international hotel and judge it accordingly. It's a rural inn in a beautiful but remote location surrounded by hills and fields. You will walk into a warm welcome, physical and emotional. The room we had was old-fashioned, rather rustic, characterful, definitely not marble and stainless steel but perfectly comfortable, rather like stepping back in time. the staff were great and the meals were wonderful.
The staff was very helpful especially supplying kitchen needs, also she was very friendly. We stayed in the main guest house, and the room was clean and bathroom was very nice and clean. Excellent location to Snowdonia, lots of hikes very close by. The Precipice hike was beautiful. Pretty cool to stay in a building over 500 years old. Had a good dinner in town.
Fab guest house, last minute booking as I took advantange of a favourable weather forecast to climb Cadair Idris the next day. Lovely clean property, great hosts, made sure I had everything I needed. A short walk into town for dinner, lots of options to eat. Comfortable room and bed & great options for breakfast set me up for my climb. As a solo traveller I can recommend.
No fuss, no frills guest house. Exactly as advertised. Read various reviews about the Tegfan and booked it because the likes of Premier Inn were more than double the price. Perfectly adequate room with TV and kettle. The shower and toilet were separate but working fine (lovely hot shower). The breakfast served at the Anglesey Arms was just the thing to set you up for the day. Staff were welcoming and friendly too. All in all a good place to stay and I'd have no hesitation staying at the Tegfan again.
Well placed guest house in the centre of Caernarfon. The restarant and bar for Ty Dre are are at the Black Boy Inn (round the corner) and these were fine with a good menu available. It was a very hot weekend during our stay which did cause us some issues as the rooms are not air-conditioned, but the staff did their utmost to try and alleviate the heat as much as they could. The bed in the room was comfortable and the bathroom well appointed.
The location is ideal, right at the beginning of the high street and perfect for mount snowdon, the guest house is excellent value for money and exceeded what I expected for the price of our stay.
Dolafon is a lovely guest house, with such friendly hosts that couldn’t do enough for you. The breakfasts were delicious and there are lots of lovely restaurants near by for dinner, particularly the peak restaurant. Dolafon location is just a 15 minute walk to start the trail up to the summit of Snowdon and the lake near by is beautiful. We would highly recommend staying at Dolafon and are already looking forward to our next stay.
