Chongos Place had everything we needed. The view of the Volcano is incredible.

Situated in Naranjo, within 40 km of Poas National Park and 22 km of Catarata Tesoro Escondido, Rancho Amalia features accommodation with a garden and free WiFi as well as free private parking for guests who drive. Located around 40 km from Parque Viva, the inn is also 43 km away from Alejandro Morera Soto Stadium. Each room comes with a patio with views of the garden. This such a hidden gem! The farm is absolutely beautiful and came as a surprise. This was our first stop out of San Jose and I really recommend it. We visited Poas, Catarata del Toro and the Blue Falls before checking in for the night at a lovely cottage. The owner is just lovely and so friendly. We had dinner at the restaurant at the farm - delicious and fresh! We slept like babies in the super comfy bed and in the morning we enjoyed drinking coffee grown at the farm whilst watching hummingbirds feed. The breakfast was delicious and in a beautiful setting with the view of the valley. Absolutely magical.

Very nice and clean rooms. Comfortable bed and big bathroom. Beautiful garden with nice swimmingpool and view to volcano. Rich breakfast and very friendly Staff. Definately recomended :)

The inn features an outdoor swimming pool and a shared kitchen and free WiFi throughout the property. This place is quite new and very comfortable. Beautiful pool and an outdoor kitchen. Loved the vibe and it’s great to hang out in the outdoor space. The staff was very kind. Comfortable bed and airconditioning. Short 10 min walk to get into town. There is parking available
Caño Negro
At the inn, every room is fitted with a terrace. Rooms are fitted with a wardrobe and a flat-screen TV, and some rooms at Posada Rural Oasis have a patio. At the accommodation, all rooms come with a seating area. One of the best and most surprisingly beautiful places in Costa Rica 🇨🇷 +++ for the lovely and wonderful owners!!!!
Rio Celeste
At the inn, each room comes with a patio. Featuring a private bathroom with a shower and free toiletries, rooms at Posada Rural Río Celeste also provide guests with a garden view. At the accommodation every room has bed linen and towels. Location is very close to main attractions in Rio celeste. Great quiet place.
Alajuela City
Situated in Alajuela City and within 32 km of Poas National Park, Duerme tranquilo has a restaurant, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi. The property is around 3.4 km from Alejandro Morera Soto Stadium, 10 km from Parque Viva and 17 km from Parque Diversiones. The inn features family rooms. I only stayed for one night but It felt like coming home. So much value for money! The owner is incredibly heart warming and welcoming. I was treated with homemade cake (still warm) when i arrived way later than i told her. Breakfast was good and easy. She arranged a taxi for me. Very helpful with everything. Communication was super easy (in Spanish) and very fast to reply. Wonderful stay
everything was excellent. we had a nice dinner on premises one night. the staff are very friendly helpful and accomodating. the thermal pools are relaxing. the one cold pool is nice too but its not that cold like all pools here because of the warm climate.
The breakfast was very delicious the thermal waters so relaxing the rooms was beautiful the hotel is very nice the dinner at the Italian restaurant was so goood
Very friendly, lovely and helpful staff, super clean room and beautiful garden, we enjoyed the hot spring a lot. Very good breakfast with variety of choices , I definitely recommend it. We even got a complementary dinner a night before we leave. Food was amazing. Thank you !!
Lovely hotel grounds, with lots of plants and flowers. Staff at restaurant and garden/pool were great. Wonderful breakfast and dinner. Comfortable room with fridge and air con. Kids loved the pool.
The staff is very friendly, the breakfast is good, parking is easy, and wi-fi worked well in our room. There is a simple local restaurant just next to the property if you don't feel like driving in the dark for dinner. Location is good, just a few minutes drive from the entrance to the National Park.
Such an incredible location! We were in Room 2, at the top of the hill that the property is on, next to the pool, with a beautiful view over Lake Arenal and some of the volcano. There was so much wildlife all around - we loved watching the hummingbirds in the hedge near the pool. The restaurant on site served simple but delicious breakfasts and dinners. Our room and bathroom were big and comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful. A great place to stay!
Stunning property with great view of the volcano - we were lucky enough to see it without any cloud. Pool and hot springs area is amazing with its swim up bars. Rooms were lovely and always a buggy to pick you up if you don’t want to make the short walk to the facilities. Breakfast was delicious, with a great choice. Only a short taxi ride to La Fortuna if you want to go there for shopping, dinner etc.
The different fruit trees, lemongrass, cinnamon tree, cacao, coffee growing on the property! Even though we don’t know Spanish that well, we could still understand the host as he gave us a friendly and patient tour of the little farm. He was so expressive that we could understand about the plants even in Spanish. The kitchen is extremely clean and well organized, and all the appliances nice.
Hotel Mango is a nice, clean place to stay near the SJO airport. The rooms are basic but nice, the AC was good and there is a refrigerator. Nice shower with hot water. The little restaurant behind the hotel, open for dinner, had really good margaritas and food. I left early morning before breakfast so I can't say how that was. The free shuttle to the airport was nice.
Late flight into Costa Rica so chose an airport adjacent hotel to stay at before driving to our destination. This was exactly what this hotel is for. Very kind and helpful staff but per night was way more expensive than any other place we stayed- likely because of flights and cornered market as many have to do the same? Clean and friendly staff. Dinner and breakfast were ok.
