Arbon
Set in a typically Swiss half-timbered house, Gasthof Brauerei Frohsinn is located on the shores of Lake Constance in Arbon. It offers rooms with free WiFi, a breakfast buffet and free parking.
The Frohsinn also features a brewery on site and offers homemade Frohsinn Beer in the traditional beer cellar or on the terrace, which boasts lake views. The 3 on-site restaurants serve hearty cuisine and drinks also in the shady pub garden, under 100-year old chestnut trees.
Great location with just a short walk to the old town where there were a great choice of restaurants for the evening. Fabulous breakfast out on the terrace in the morning sun.
Frauenfeld
Located in the centre of Frauenfeld, Gasthof zum Falken is right next to the castle and a 4-minute walk from the train station. It features a restaurant and bar with a terrace, and free WiFi is available. I liked the friendly staff and clean and functional rooms. I liked the breakfast buffet.
Wigoltingen
Set in a quiet location, Landgasthof Wartegg is 50 metres from the Müllheim-Wigoltingen train station and 2 km from the A7 highway. It features a restaurant serving seasonal dishes from fresh local products. Free Wi-Fi is available.
Located atop a small hill, one can see around 360 degrees up to the distant ring of mountains and the Bodensee.. This is a great place for long walks. Very quiet area, and with a large and well equipped playground for children. The rooms are modern and simplicity does not hinder comfort. The restaurant is excellent and also serves meals outside, in a shaded area with a superb view. We had dinner and a very good buffet breakfast. All in all a great experience which we would gladly repeat.
This beautiful ancient house was filled with a very friendly and kind staff. Special needs for dinner were taken care of immediately. The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. The only negative aspect was breakfast. It felt as if we were in a canteen and the selection of bread and drinks and cereals wasn't what we expected. No fresh tomatoes or cucumbers or fruit prepared either.
Hotel Dinner was great - Staff brilliant and super helpful.
On arrival the receptionist checked us in and said we didn't need to book for dinner. When we came back later, dinner was fully booked BUT lovely staff set us up in breakfast room for wonderful dinner!
Location, walking disrance to the lake. Big size room, comfortable bed, shower also clean and good quality, all in this rustic style house. The italian restaurant we didn't try as unfortunately just eat before, that we regretted as the ambiance and Italian host suggested excellent food... We were wery satisfied with our stay.
The location was amazing. The decor reflected the age and beauty of the building. The view of houses from our room were pretty. We were able to cool the room down. - lovely in the heat. Dinner there was very well presented and tasty and eaten over looking the lake. Lovely.
We had such an excellent stay at the hotel. Very kind and helpful reception. Outstanding spa. Excellent gym. Really nice and comfortable room, with a nice terrasse. Wifi excellent. Lunch and dinner was excellent, both the location/tables and the food. We loved the different outdoor areas. We loved our dinner food. We loved the bar areas and the bar food. We loved the pier. We loved the area. We would love to come back and stay longer.
We spent a nice stay in the hotel as we expected. The hotel is traditionally old, charming and historical. The room is big and very clean. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant: the meals were good and the staffs were very friendly. We like this hotel and expecting to come back again.
Superb location. Breakfast and dinner (latter available by order) both very good. Very grateful that gluten free diet was catered for. Very clean. Quiet. Friendly and helpful staff.
