Dombresson
Just 15 minutes’ drive from Neuchâtel, the family-run Hotel de Commune offers on-site ski hire, ski storage and rooms with wood furniture. Its restaurant has a terrace and serves locally sourced cuisine. We stayed here the second time, and were even more pleased with our stay than before. The hotel is located in the heart of the big Jura hiking region, and - especially if you travel by car - you have unlimited possibility for all sorts of hiking. Perfectly clean. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Michel, the owner and the chef, speaks nearly any language you can imagine, and makes you really feel at home. Michel's restaurant is a gem, and it was a big part of our decision to come again. Breakfast is wonderful and well above the usual standards for this level of a hotel. Rooms are simple, but they fully fit to the description and have all necessary, especially if you stay just for a couple of days.

The beginning of the Transjurassienne cross-country skiing trails is just steps away. Many hiking possibilities are also around Bonne Auberge. Neuchatel and Lake Biel can be reached by car in 30 minutes. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We hiked here and we're happy to have comfortable rooms and comfy beds. Dinner was spectacular, one of the best tatar we have had until now!
Couvet
An 18th century inn, Couvet’s Hotel de l'Aigle enjoys peaceful surroundings in the countryside. The restaurant uses regional products and serves traditional Swiss cuisine. Wi-Fi and private parking are available free of charge. Absolutely remarkable hidden gem, this hotel. While on the outside it looks like an outdated old inn, inside, the rooms are renovated and well-equipped and very very spacious. The steam shower in our room was positively brilliant (although, as far as I understand, not all rooms have such a shower). The staff was friendly, the food was delicious, the breakfast was carefully packed in order to comply with corona requirements. We appreciated the free parking. We'd definitely come here again for a longer stay!

The hotel is located in a Jura hiking area; if you travel by car, in a short distance there are numerous parking lots for hikers.
The room was basic, but sufficient, clean and totally fitting to description. The hotel stands on the busy road, but we got a room on the other side, and it was perfectly quiet. The heating was perfect for the cold nights of early May.
The restaurant on site is OK - nothing exciting, but, again, quite sufficient if you need an evening meal. It serves only meat dishes, but not a problem for us.
A real hidden gem of the hotel is a spa room which one can book for private use; it is equipped with a modern jacuzzi and electric sauna. It is well worth the price and extremely good after the busy hiking day. Highly recommended!

This is a lovely hotel in a wonderful location. The proprietress is very kind and friendly. When we stayed, her chef was taken ill, so she had to close the hotel restaurant. Not only did she book us a table for dinner at another restaurant, she also arranged for us to be driven there! The breakfast was terrific and well worth the extra cost. Highly recommended!
I booked in the afternoon shortly before my arrival, as the weather made camping less attractive, so I was pleased that the owner was at the guest house to meet me when I arrived. The place was handy as it was on the GR5 long distance path that I was walking, and considerable less expensive that the only other place in the village open at the time (April). Good sized room.
I liked the possibility to have a sauna & hammam. Dinner was good and the staff was very friendly.
(1) Charming building - inside & out. Beautifully & authentically furnished; (2) Lakeside location & views; (3) Friendly, helpful & professional staff; (4) Good dinner menu of the day; (5) Breakfast menu complete except for muesli; (6) Drinks making in bedroom; (7) Impressive fruit tart options in bar!
Good place, easy access. Helpful tip from the host to book dinner at the nearby Les Clochettes du Risoux.
Nice-sized room in old hotel in center of town. Safe room to park our e-bikes. Breakfast was good, and dinner at hotel restaurant was excellent.
Friendly smiles and very helpful advice from staff, especially from the manager at the front desk. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent dinner menu, and high quality. Extensive wine list was impressive. Spacious room and comfortable beds.
The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We hiked here and we're happy to have comfortable rooms and comfy beds. Dinner was spectacular, one of the best tatar we have had until now!
Hotel in the village centre surrounded by restaurants, bar, shops but surprisingly quiet at night. Had a good sleep :-) Free public carpark nearby- 2 mins walk Clean, comfortable room. A kettle in the room for tea, coffee. We had a nice dinner in the hotel, friendly happy staff. The lady at the reception was lovely, always smiled and we felt welcomed when we arrived. This was our first time in Les Rousses and sure we would be back. Nice place in the beautiful nature with lovely people :-)
A very clean and affordable flat. Although it had an unpleasant smell at the beginning, this could have been due to the doors being closed. However, everything was fine later on! It's certainly a very quiet flat.
