Welcome to the Sleep Inn, a Staunton hotel near Mary Baldwin University

The Sleep Inn hotel is located off Interstate 81 in the Shenandoah Valley. Surrounded by the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains, this Staunton hotel is close to the Frontier Culture Museum of Virginia, Mary Baldwin University, P. Buckley Moss Museum, Blackfriars Theatre and Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library. The scenic Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive are just minutes away.

The staff were excellent: very friendly and helpful. The rooms and the hotel were spotlessly clean. They fulfilled our request to have two rooms together. They were kind to our dog and offered her treats! Very pet friendly!

We were surprised by the breakfast variety. We got upgraded for free, which was very much appreciated. Nice large room, king-size bed with a little sitting area. There is a large grassy area, ideal to take your dog uit. Our little dog Bella found it a comfortable stay. Also, next door, is The Antique Factory, the largest indoor antique Bazar we've ever seen

Looking for an inn?

Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.

Nice hotel right off 81. Clean and updated. No complimentary water like we got in the Hampton Inn the night before, but you can buy one! Room was well appointed with a very comfortable bed and large flat screen tv. A/C was a little loud, but worked well. There is a restaurant across the parking lot and the food was good. It is a buffet with a regular menu as well - loads of food! Worth a trip for dinner and to hang out with the locals!

This Inn far exceeded our expectations. The room was big and the bathroom was huge. The bed was comfortable and the historic renovation was beautifully done. The breakfast was good. The staff was terrific.

Location is perfect, easy to get into the Main Street for plenty of restaurant choices. Breakfast at the Inn is wonderful. I had the blueberry/peanut butter/banana yogurt and it was perfect!

Staff very welcoming, showed genuine interest & informative! Eventhough hotel was under renovation, guests were isolated from construction area. Designated guest areas were clean and quiet. Breakfast options were very good.....REAL fresh brewed coffee hot entrees, bagels, yogurt, waffles, fruit, etc. (another Sleep Inn on my trip offered machine coffee, and only waffles or cold cereal)

Close to town, where there is a lot to see and do. We fell in love with Staunton - see a play, take a scenic train trip, visit a brewery, enjoy great meals, shop for antiques, sightsee the Victorian homes and buildings. The Blackburn Inn had beautiful grounds with very interesting history - the building was about 200 years old. Our bathroom was redone nicely and the bed was comfortable. Loved that they are reclaiming this historic property.

It was a short drive to the downtown area but felt very peaceful. The Inn was historic, and they had done an incredible job updating it. The staff was very friendly.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the inn, and the food in the restaurant was excellent! We chose to eat dinner in, and breakfast was provided with the room. Both were excellent. The beautiful Victorian home was filled with treasures, eclectic and a little eccentric. The family that owns and runs the inn and restaurant are delightful. We would definitely stay again.
