The hotel was nicer than I was expecting. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast exceeded my expectations. I was pleasantly surprised they had breakfast sandwiches and yogurts in addition to the typical waffles and cereal. Also the waffles were so light and fluffy. I also liked the really wild carpet pattern they had in the hallway upstairs.

The house is lovely and tranquil; common rooms and private rooms are comfortable and spacious. The innkeeper was friendly and breakfast was delicious. It was a much-needed getaway for us.

The host was very kind and responsive! My only, only minor complaint was the very noisy bar underneath, but hey- if you can't sleep, you can go and have a Guinness. The room was very clean, the artwork was very cool and it had everything that we needed.

Staff was professional and friendly. Desk staff as well as support staff. Real glassware, dinner ware and silverware at breakfast was a pleasant surprise. Had a suite, which was way more than I needed but it was a great space.

The staff was friendly and the Inn was clean. The decor was neat, and I imagined how it would have been in the past.

This property surprises! Fantastic location if you are visiting the Strong Museum. The facilities were great and we were able to check-in a bit earlier when we asked as our room was ready. Staff were friendly and the dinner at the onsite restaurant was delicious, especially the lobster roll!

I made the mistake of booking a hotel for Rochester in New York and not Minnesota. I called and the woman desk clerk said she cancelled it. Liar! I was charged for this. Jerk! I wouldn't recommend this place ever!

As a Canadian visiting the US three or four times a year, we look for opportunities to purchase items that are unavailable in Canada, such as certain food items . Staying at a hotel with a kitchenette (apartment-sized fridge, microwave, stove top) helps not only in storing any purchased food to take home but help keeping overall travel costs down. Our Residence Inn's 'studio apartment' was perfect for my husband and I. The space was small and clean and very efficient. Highly recommend.

I liked the area, but the room is so outdated. One can't see the small tv they put across the room . The tavern was closed on Sunday and we had to travel for dinner which was why I booked the hotel. Not my favorite
