The Fat Badger York, hotel in York

The Fat Badger York offers en-suite rooms with free WiFi and flat-screen TV’s.

One of the most friendliest places we've stayed. Situated in a convenient location, accessible to everywhere in York. The reception staff were very accommodating, went out there way to make sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast staff were amazing, Debbie and Jeremy were an absolute scream, so nice to have a joke and good sense of humour in the morning, such a pleasure to served by them. The choice of breakfast and quantity was epic. The rooms were well presented and very clean, had everything we needed for our stay. Would definitely stay again on our next trip to York 😍

Lovely heritage building converted tastefully. The standard rooms are in the modern section, and are very comfortable and spacious. We had a heritage suite in the older section, with views over the city walls. The hotel is a short walk from the river and the city centre, and is also less than five minutes walk from the railway station. We prebooked a valet parking space. The staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Dinner in the Rise restaurant was delicious.

Centre of York,100 Mtrs from the Minster. Historic Inn and well maintained. Rooms small but well appointed and spotlessly clean. Lots of History in the immediate area, alleged haunted which added mystery.Had breakfast once full English but £15 extra.

A very pleasant stay indeed, located in a quiet area, fairly close to amenities on a lovely road with nice cafes a short stroll away and a good pub called Winning Post handily located across the road which was perfect for ale and food, the guest house was not too far away from the bustling centre of York either. There are good bus connections with stops close by should anyone not fancy the 15 minutes walk. The room was exceptionally clean and the bed was very comfortable too. 🙂

The warm welcome, from the beginning of our stay, the room was clean and warm, bright. Breakfast was not included, but , we where fine with this, as we got our brekfast at pub , on main street nearby. We will certainly be back, at this lovely little Guest house, very soon !

The aesthetic of the Inn is beautifully rustic, the food is first class, the ales are abundant, the rooms are named after each of the conspirators, and you can even buy the signature Guy Fawkes pint glasses as a souvenir of your stay. It's simple, elegant, and really leans into its history, leaving me grinning at every reference to the Gunpowder Plot decorating the Inn. It's one of the best places I've ever stayed.
