The New Inn Halse has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Taunton. The inn offers both free WiFi and free private parking.

All guest rooms in the inn are equipped with a flat-screen TV. The rooms come with a kettle and a private bathroom with free toiletries, while selected rooms also feature a kitchen fitted with a fridge. At The New Inn Halse each room comes with bed linen and towels.

Lovely warm welcome, and staff that really couldn't do enough for us. The onsite restaurant serves a range of dishes, catering for vegans and vegetarians also. It's a community-owned pub/cafe/restaurant so the atmosphere is very friendly and it was always busy - There's a positive buzz that's omnipresent. Breakfast was toast, pastries, and cereals, simply help yourself - We didn't miss a cooked breakfast, at all, there was sufficient to see us into the day. The room was fabulous - Huge bed (large double) that was really comfy, en suite shower was immaculate, and the view from the window onto a country lane from which we regularly saw horses go by. Deadly silent by night, which was great, even with the window open. Will definitely be back!

We loved the decor and cosiness of the public rooms and the welcoming, helpful attitude of the staff. Fresh coffee and continental breakfast in the pleasant dining room was very acceptable and dinner was delicious Our room had everything we needed, plus a spacious bathroom with a tub. The little town is a gem

My stay at the Rock Inn was a complete success. Spotlessly clean, very comfy beds with excellent breakfast choice, for myself, my wife and our 5yr old grandson. We also had a wonderful evening dinner. Would highly recommend this establishment. The hosts made us feel that nothing was too much trouble.

Excellent food available in bar at night - and an excellent atmosphere. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great place to stay for walking etc in Exmoor. Comfortable bed and good shower. No breakfast - but that's easily available at Cafe Whelan or Bear Inn nearby.
