Exceptional value for money. The food was excellent. Would highly recommend. The surroundings were lovely.

The bedroom was little but offered everything: teas, coffee, biscuits and water available, the bed was incredibly comfortable, the bathroom very clean! The staff were exceptional: always kind and ready to help. The food excellent!

    A real quality place to stay. The Inn is kept to a very high standard with lovely furnishings. The Inn is set in a lovely location and had plenty of parking for guests. Our host was exceptional, very friendly and attentive when needed. Food was excellent. Our room was very comfortable, clean and quiet.

    Jennifer and her staff were very welcoming. The Elks Head Inn is situated in an extremely beautiful setting, but still central enough to reach most tourist attractions. There is parking on site and the restaurant is very good and would highly recommend it. The garden is beautiful and a great place for a pre-dinner drink. Good bed and shower. As far as English breakfasts go, you would not get much better.

    The food was first class, the best breakfast I’ve ever had at a hotel etc we had dinner one night also which was beautifully cooked and presented, would highly recommend the elks head inn just for food alone!

    The food service and quality was brilliant. We had dinner on both nights during our stay and really enjoyed it. The rooms were very clean and the inn is located in a tranquil spot within easy reach of many walks in the North Penines.
