Told we had to book for dinner 24 hours ahead. Obviously untrue. Saw people just turning up. Luckily the meal we had was very good and reasonably priced.

The hotel is competing with the likes of Premier Inn and Travelodge. These offer better value for money than the Waterside, which is looking dated and felt like it is a hotel in decline and lacking investment
