OMG the Ship Inn is wonderful- we can’t wait to go back. Joanne the owner is the most accommodating and friendly person, she really has this place running on full speed, our waitress Hannah, not only a talented musician but a friendly and attentive waitress. The food is wonderful, traditional yet touch of gourmet - really good. Our room was clean, light and airy, all one needs after a day of hiking !! The Ship Inn is lovely set in the centre of a beautiful English village,

I stayed here with a friend during my hike on Hadrian's Wall Path (we booked in advance). The Inn is right on the path. After a long hike we had such a warm welcome! The room was great; the meals were big and tasty. Sad that we had to leave the other day...

The owners are really friendly and welcoming and it is located right on Hadrian's Wall. The room is small but clean and bright and the shower was great. We had dinner and breakfast and the food was good.

Arrived here during our walk along Hadrians Wall. We were giving a bigger room with a bath so we could have a soak. Room was large with a beautiful window overlooking the fields. Dinner was lovely and plenty of beers on tap. Breakfast was amazing. Unfortunately I wasn’t feeling to well so didn’t eat a lot. Would def recommend as a stop over on trail.

We were walking Hadrian's Wall Path and the Robin Hood Inn is literally on the route. Loved the friendly atmosphere, the attentive, hardworking people running the place. We came in soaking wet from the rain but they soon made us forget the miserable walk.

The Inn was very conveniently placed for a visit to a destination close by. Cath was welcoming when we arrived, checked us in and showed us to our room. The room was spacious, well equipped and comfortable. The full English breakfast was substantial, well cooked and very tasty, served with a bright smile by Jo. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but the menu looks varied with interesting dishes along with the usual favourites.

Stayed one night while walking Hadrian’s Wall. The staff was exceptional in terms of their friendliness, helpfulness, and attention. The food both for dinner and breakfast was top notch. The room was large, clean, comfortable, and quiet. It also featured the first bathtub we encountered during our trip. Fantastic and lace to stay, particularly when walking the Wall.
