Bayards Cove Inn, hotel in Totnes

Bayards Cove Inn is located in the centre of Dartmouth. This historic hotel has refurbished luxury bedrooms with free WiFi, and views over the river and sea.

From the initial friendly welcome where we were kindly upgraded to a lovely, quirky room, to the amazing hot cooked breakfast in the morning with freshly made coffee and finally a goodie bag for our journey containing fudge and water, we couldn't fault this place. We found a complimentary bottle of Prosecco on ice with two glasses in our room for us to celebrate our 20th anniversary which was a lovely surprise. The bed was comfy, the room warm and the bathroom clean. Thank you to all staff at Bayard's Cove who made our stay so special. You went above and beyond our expectations and that is very rare these days.

The Buccaneer Inn, hotel in Totnes

Set in Torquay, The Buccaneer Inn offers beachfront accommodation less than 1 km from Oddicombe Beach and offers various facilities, such as a terrace, a restaurant and a bar.

I recently stayed at The Buccaneer Inn on Friday, November 1st, and had a delightful experience. The spacious room features a large bathroom with a walk-in shower and ample toiletries. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the stunning views added to the charm. Debbie's warm hospitality made the stay even more enjoyable. The inn's location is convenient, being close to Babbacombe Theatre. While breakfast isn't served on-site, Angels Tea Rooms next door offers a perfect morning meal. I highly recommend The Buccaneer Inn for a comfortable and pleasant stay.

An ideal place to stay, close to Totnes town center, very clean and comfy, all the facilities you need should you wish to cook and clean clothes etc, we opted to eat out all the time and just have toast for breakfast but the apartment is perfect, add to it free parking and a free choccy bar and it a winner, we will definitely stay again, Thanks Mark

Tip: When you search by navigation app use the post code!!! There are two pubs with the same name! The staff were very welcoming and dog friendly! We had dinner and loved the food. It was nice and clean throughout, including the carpets in the restaurant and bar. Often in pubs you find that the carpets in the public areas are quite stained. Not here. Noticeably clean.

We stayed in the Nightingale Room which was large and airy with two windows giving views out over the river. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and efficient and the food both at dinner and breakfast was very good. The location is excellent, with plenty of on site parking. This was our second visit and I would thoroughly recommend the Maltsters Arms as a great location for a short break away from it all.

Wonderful room with a view, large comfy bed and friendly staff that went out of their way to accommodate my early start breakfast needs! I ate there for dinner too and the food was delicious. Even saw a seal hanging out along the river.

We cannot comment on the restaurant as our time table for the weekend precluded it. We enjoyed our breakfast and I have no doubt that we would have also enjojed a dinner had our itinerary permitted.

I liked the decor of the bathroom, and the staff was very polite, especially Brandon the general manager, he was excellent and went above and beyond to make stay enjoyable. Very nice scenery from bedroom and two doors opened to a balcony. Dinner in the evening, served by Brandon was very nice and Breakfast in the morning was tasty served by Victoria. Good WiFi speed so I could do my Microsoft team digital calls for work
