The food is exquisite, akin to some Michelin *’d restuarants I have been to previously - with some great wines and local ales. Our ‘Basil’ room was very comfortable and tastefully decorated, it is directly accessed from the car park, but that was not a draw-back as it made unloading the car very easy, and it quietens down later in the evening, so had no disturbances at all. It was also a pleasure to be welcomed so warmly whilst having our dog with us. We are so glad that we found your wonderful Inn Thanks!

From the moment we walked in, we felt like welcomed friends. Robin and Louise are excellent and kind innkeepers! We loved the house, the grounds, our comfy bed and bathroom! Robin and Louise offered us a lovely breakfast each morning, and accommodated us on our last day with an early departure.

Great location and generous breakfast cooked very well. Rustic olde english inn with very many feature/period pieces and architecture. Great history (but had to read council sign outside to learn this) and easy (albeit up hill) walk to town centre/square, shops, bars restaurants etc. Do visit the exceptional cheese shop next the the museum!

Very central location. Inn with 6 rooms, one not en-suite. We had a key to our own private bathroom a short distance away. The rate we paid for the double room with breakfast for 2 people makes it an exceptionally good value one night stay in Shrewsbury, an historic town and at a stay in an historic inn building. Also, make sure you take the Sabrina one hour boat trip along the river Severn - a wonderful experience!
