In the heart of Old Portsmouth, the Duke of Buckingham is just a 10-minute walk from Gunwharf Quays and the historic waterfront.

The bright and airy bedrooms each have free WiFi, a TV and tea/coffee facilities. Most rooms have a private bathroom. Ironing supplies and hairdryer are available upon request, from reception. Free WiFi is also available in the reception area.

The location is excellent - about 10 mins to the city centre and to the waterfront. The room feels homely and is spotlessly clean. Staff members are friendly and helpful.

Mattress - uncomfortable Pillows - uncomfortable breakfast - cold beans evening dinner - staff took ages to attend to us. Awful service Thought there was a pool and there wasn't! Prefer a Premier Inn. Beds more comfortable and value for money - especially food!

The guest house was reasonably priced and not far from the seafront and Palmerston Road. The landlord was very polite and helpful.

The staff were always nice and friendly, food (Breakfast & Dinner) was always good and tasty. Food prep time was always good event when they were busy. Night entrance was good so you didn't have to go through the pub.

The location was great. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The staff were brilliant and it's a shame that the Innkeepers group have provided them with a substandard refit.
