The staff are really friendly, the food was excellent and the ambience is relaxing and characterful. The room is like a tiny ship's cabin. Beautifully decorated with luxury velvet throw and cushions and a lovely little shower room. Perfect for one person but not for two; unless they're very much in the honeymoon phase. The location in the centre of Stow is perfect. So nice to visit a place where the staff really care. Thanks for a wonderful visit.

Had a fantastic night at the Horse and Groom. Booked the hotel as it was dog friendly and they made our little furry boy feel so welcome with a lovely bed set out for him with food and water bowls and a nice little welcome pack. They also have a lovely little dog menu. We decided to stay for our evening meal. The food was delicious and arrived nice and quick. The staff where amazing we would definitely stay here again

great service, comfortable rooms. Some of us did not have an overhead shower or at least an enclosed bath with hand shower not an exposed tub. also some decor in one of the rooms was basically black and white and that was a bit strong. Those guests would prefer some sunnier colors or even all white, or natural like wood and stone.

The location and free parking was great. The breakfast and dinner were very nice. The ladies that looked after our room were really nice and kept the tea, milk etc topped up without us having to ask. Which we normally have to do when staying elsewhere. The bed was very comfy. Although our room was on the high street, it was nice and quiet. The young male staff that served us at dinner and in the bar were exceptionally polite and are a credit to your staff.

I stayed here for a night and ate dinner and breakfast. Small comfortable single room. Good choice on the menu. I had ham, egg and chips followed by some crumble. Delicious. Local Shagweaver beer on tap, also delicious. I had a small cooked breakfast and that was also delicious. Friendly staff and service was excellent.
