A traditional inn in the Devon village of Dolton, the Rams Head Inn retains its original character with beamed ceilings and an open brick fireplace. Around 16 miles from Barnstaple, it offers home-cooked food and en suite rooms with free parking and WiFi.

Breakfast and dinner were superb - Chef Niko did a brilliant job as the food was delicious and all came on time despite being a larger group. Room was comfortable, spacious and looked great. The young lady that looked after us for the majority of our stay was extremely accommodating and looked after us well.

We were on a cycling break and this venue was picked due to its proximity to the NCN 27. Secure storage was provided for our bikes. Peaceful location and we had a lovely spacious room with all the touches you need. Everyone was very friendly and I would recommend this inn and its accommodation.

Pub was a very characterful old building - the whitewashed corridor to our room was amazing. Room was clean, cosy and comfortable with all the expected amenities. Dinner and breakfast both homecooked and tasty. A few lovely pints of Dartmoor Legend before bedtime. Becky the landlady was lovely and we had the company of Devon the dog as we sat in the bar.
