The Whittington and Cat, hotel in Hull

Just a few metres from Hull Marina, Whittington & Cat is a traditional pub with free WiFi and parking. The Princes Quay Shopping Centre is just 500 metres away.

Check-in was quick and easy done. Staff were all so lovely. It was really busy in the pub when we arrived but they were straight to us. The pub does food and the menu and food we saw going out looked very good. The room was clean and spacious and well equipped. Great location for a walk around the Marina, which has lots of bars and restaurants.

Thornton Hunt Inn, hotel in Hull

Set in a Grade II listed building dating back to the 18th century, Thornton Hunt Inn is a traditional free-house located in the charming village of Thornton Curtis.

On arrival we were warmly welcomed by the owner and nothing was too much trouble during our stay. We had drinks in the bar which had a friendly atmosphere. Unfortunately we couldn't have dinner there due to our friends (who we were meeting) having a dog. Neither my husband or I eat breakfast. The views of the surrounding countryside are lovely. Nice driving along the quiet country lanes.

The room was large and clean and comfortable. The bed was large with clean bedding, plenty of pillows and very comfortable. The breakfast at the Toby Carvery was value for money and very good and it was only a short walk from the Innkeepers Lodge.

Really impressed, my first stay at an Innkeeper’s Collection, and if they are all as good as this one it will be my go to option for work trips.

I cannot comment on breakfast as I didn't partake. The bed I found completely comfortable. Bedding was clean and bed made up nicely and professionally. Tea and coffee in the room were very welcome. Staff friendly. My earlier emark saying I wouldn't stay at the Innkeepers again isn't because of a complaint but because I have no transport of my own and there is no handy public transport.

It would appear this a transition From Innkeepers to Toby Inns so It may be better in Future Innkeepers is a chain I've used a lot and I would say the standards I expected fell short on this occasion. The parking was good, the room was clean abnd there was a good hospitality tray Reception was OK but was in Toby inn not in the Accomadation block

The staff at Innkeepers Lodge were exceptional! The bar staff who checked me in were absolutely lovely, and when I asked for a late check out, it was very simple. Even when I asked to switch rooms because the room that I was given had two single beds, rather than a double...everything was taken in stride. I also want to thank the cleaning crew for being so cheerful, and lovely. As a cleaner, myself, I know what a tough job it is, and I hope their efforts don't ever go unnoticed.
