Comfortable bedroom , stayed over after celebrating family meal .
Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening, which distinguishes them from country or guest houses.
The property was a terrific stop on the way to York. Full of character, very comfortable and easy to find. The pub across the road was enjoyable for dinner. Friendly owners made us welcome and checking in easy.
This was a lovely conversion of an old stable block surrounding an inner courtyard. We were in The Saddlery which was prettily furnished, cosy and warm. The bed was large and comfortable and there were sweet snacks left out plus plenty of tea choices, coffee & milk. There was a microwave and fridge (with complimentary bottles of water), iron & hairdryer. Wayne made contact in advance and gave us clear and helpful information regarding our arrival.
Easy access from the motorway system. Rustic village setting . Pub across the road. Lovely room that needs to be seen . Look forward to another visit in the summer when I can sit outside and enjoy the gardens.
The room is well thought out, the location is quiet, near places to get dinner and provisions. The owner is helpful and has managed to do masses of work on the rooms since we were there last year. They were good then and better now.
Classic English village inn. Gardens immaculate, great service
