We stayed at The Anchor Inn for 3 nights last week and had a fabulous time. The food and drink were excellent, the staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough for us, everything about The Anchor was brilliant. The location was amazing, it’s so close to Hartland Quays which is so beautiful and peaceful. We couldn’t fault anything there.

Lovely old world inn and cute town. Fabulous food and atmosphere and very welcoming staff. I am walking the south west coastal trail and the owners are happy to pick up and drop off from the trail as Hartland is a couple of miles inland.

Great location for a night before taking the helicopter to Lundy. Clean and comfortable, reasonably priced and the food (dinner and breakfast) was good. Husband loves watching the wild sea off the coast at Hartland!

A very comfortable, clean and welcoming place and ideally located for us to catch the helicopter to Lundy the next day. Lovely friendly staff, and good food. It was Sunday, and the roast dinner was very tasty, with nicely cooked veg, not overdone, and just the right amount, satisfying but not over filling. There was a live performer in the adjacent bar which was pleasant and didn’t drown out conversation. Good to hear non amplified music! Various notices indicate this is a proper community pub hosting lots of interesting events.
