Really friendly, helpful staff, we felt so welcomed and everyone was genuinely keen we had the best possible time. Breakfast was a standout, we had a delicious cooked breakfast, cereal, fruit etc and freshly baked pastries! The Maynard is ideally situated to explore the Peak district. A beautiful old building with wonderful views.
All staff were pleasant and helpful.
We ate dinner in the main restaurant where the food was of high quality.
Very good range of gluten free options for dinner. Portions are generous. Staff were all knowledgeable regarding a coeliac diet and very friendly. We'd ask for a room with a countryside view next time we stayed.
Staff provided an excellent service. They were welcoming and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. Beautiful building. Dinner and breakfast were excellent.
Super helpful staff, very welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast was really good, nice to be able to choose from an a la carte menu and dinner was excellent (as well as being pretty reasonable). Good location, easy to park at the hotel and even though there was a big wedding on the night we stayed the staff were still very considerate despite being pretty busy.
A very warm welcome for us and our 2 dogs and a nice spacious room. Breakfast was fairly basic but good enough. We had dinner the first night which was okay. The best thing we ate all stay was the homemade Bakewell tart which was excellent.
Excellent choice at dinner and breakfast and very enjoyable food. A very professional and friendly staff, they were definitely the icing on the cake for me.
The location- on the door step of a beautiful walk around padley gorge. The hotel itself is gorgeous, lots of different areas of sit and have a drink and dinner. Bed was lovely and comfortable. Lovely food which was value for money and the staff were so friendly!
Stunning Boutique Hotel in a beautiful location. Breakfast and Dinner were both tasty and good value. The room was comfortable and beautifully decorated and maintained. The staff were friendly and courteous. We will be staying again for sure!
The room was value for money and had everything that was needed other than hanging space. The food was excellent excellent both at dinner and breakfast.
