The Maynard is ideally situated to explore the Peak district. A beautiful old building with wonderful views. All staff were pleasant and helpful. We ate dinner in the main restaurant where the food was of high quality.

Very good range of gluten free options for dinner. Portions are generous. Staff were all knowledgeable regarding a coeliac diet and very friendly. We'd ask for a room with a countryside view next time we stayed.

Super helpful staff, very welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast was really good, nice to be able to choose from an a la carte menu and dinner was excellent (as well as being pretty reasonable). Good location, easy to park at the hotel and even though there was a big wedding on the night we stayed the staff were still very considerate despite being pretty busy.

A very warm welcome for us and our 2 dogs and a nice spacious room. Breakfast was fairly basic but good enough. We had dinner the first night which was okay. The best thing we ate all stay was the homemade Bakewell tart which was excellent.
