Half Moon Inn, hotel in Great Ayton

Located in Middlesbrough, Half Moon Inn features a garden, terrace, bar, and free WiFi throughout the property.

Wonderful hosts, Super staff who couldnt be more welcoming and helpful, an axcellent breakfast option, just wish I had more time to finish the substantial meal and more time to enjoy it. A lovely place tucked just off the main drag contrasting immediately into a small village & traditional local Inn experience. When further trips are in the offing to this region, this will be my goal destination.

Duke Of Wellington Inn, hotel in Great Ayton

The Duke of Wellington is an ivy-clad traditional eighteenth century inn located in Danby, near Whitby. The hotel is an ideal base for exploring the Moors, Whitby and the coast.

Stayed here for a wedding down at Danby Castle. Room was clean and tidy. Minor down side for myself is that the windows appear not to open in the bedroom. Breakfast was decent and service both then and in the bar the previous night was good also.

Good choice of food for breakfast. The Inn has modern decor but designed to be cosy and comfortable and welcoming. It is positioned well for doing popular walks in the area including iconic Roseberry Topping.

Warm welcome by Joey at reception. Pretty scenery. Well maintained and decorated hotel both interior and exterior with well maintained gardens. Plenty of free parking. We stayed in the family suite with our adult son and was airy and roomy with 2 separate bedrooms. A wonderful surprise!! Again well maintained and equipped with appealing decor. A variety of options for meals. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast. All staff we met were friendly and professional. Definitely recommend!!!
