The staff were so helpful, welcoming and friendly, we were treated like kings during our stay. The food was very nice with a broad comforting menu and the rooms had a really lovely airy feel to them. And even though the weather outside was so grim and cold, we were toasty inside our cabin. A great night's sleep in a beautiful place.

What a cozy little find this place was. There were lots of features from the original coaching inn and you really could enjoy the history of the place. Our room was big and well-appointed with all mod cons and immaculately clean. The room we were allocated was on the ground floor, as we had specifically requested and our late check in was easily accommodated. There was separate main entrance for our rooms so we were not disturbed in any way by the pub, but it was a nice old untied village pub with real ales and local ciders so we wouldn't have minded anyway. The room was very warm with traditional central heating we are used to at home so we could have it as warm as we liked (and we like it warm!). The food was amazing and the prices very good indeed. We had fresh hake with vegetables in a lovely sauce and the roast lunch with all the trimmings was superb. They even make their own bread. What made the experience exceptional was the staff - they could not do enough for us and were attentive to even the smallest request. We will definitely be returning.

Great little flat. Perfect for 2. Very clean and cosy. Great communication from host, especially regarding parking which was a great help. Have read other reviews complaining about dog mess. We were there for 3 days and didn't see any mess. We saw the dog out in the courtyard once. The owner was there with it and it was no issue to us. Owner was very friendly. Easy walk into town and would recommend the White Hart Inn for food and drinks.

Staff were brilliant and couldn't do enough for us, especially Ann who offered to give us a lifet to collect our broken down car! Food was excellent, though only one veggie option for dinner so I had to eat the same thing for 4 nights ( thankfully it was delicious). Everyone loves dogs which my dog was very happy about. Pub was closed when we were there which was a shame. It looks like the photo's.

Good choice of breakfast and excellent food. Dinner was very good. We had a lamb rump the first night which was so good we had it the second night too! Room was is the main building which was a magnificent building with great views over the adjacent fields. There is also an incredible, enormous tithe barn built out of the local yellow ham-stone which is used for functions. Extensive grounds and river.

Excellent food in the restaurant, dinner and a lovely cooked breakfast in the morning, along with the sunday papers to read! The restaurant/bar has a lovely cosy, light feel to it and we enjoyed a cuppa of tea in there when we first arrived. The staff were very friendly and were very accommodating when we asked to have an early supper as well as allowing us to check in early as the hotel was not busy this weekend.

Made the booking to be at an 18th birthday party. A quirky location but terrific food and excellent service. Very friendly staff. Our room was in a separate building to the main building but large and very cosy. Rustic furnishings but a totally modern and spacious en-suite. Plenty of parking. Excellent breakfast menu and efficient staff. Would definitely stay again.

It is an amazing place both in terms of the overall environment and the innumerable elements that make up the perfect whole. It is hugely interesting, beautifully set, elegantly rustic and the staff are a positively lovely group of friendly, welcoming individuals whom it is a genuine pleasure to have met. Can't wait to see them all again.
