Set in the heart of Colchester, the 500-year-old George Hotel boasts an à-la-carte restaurant and a bar, and offers rooms with free WiFi access throughout. The hotel also has a 24-hour front desk and spacious meeting facilities.

We always stay at the George mainly based on its location and staff Joey on reception was extremely helpful in many ways during our stay and is a credit to the organisation

Set in Colchester, within 31 km of Hedingham Castle and 39 km of Chelmsford Train Station, Student Only Zeni Ensuite Rooms, Colchester features free WiFi throughout the property. The property is non-smoking and is situated 28 km from Freeport Braintree.

At the inn rooms are fitted with bed linen and towels.

I truly enjoyed living in Zeni Ensuite Rooms. While I paid the same price per night in London to live in a room with 9 other people, in Zeni Ensuite I got my own room with a bathroom. It was kind to receive welcome gifts (cookies and drinks). The rooms are modern and equipped with everything a traveler could need, because during the school season students live in the rooms. There’s also a kitchen located in the hall. The staff were super kind and agreed to keep my suitcase for a few hours after I checked out. All in all, recommend if you search for a short term stay in Colchester.

The breakfast was amazing, bed was super comfy, the room had biscuits and a nice selection of drinks like tea / coffee. Plus, staff were super nice. Loved it all, would definitely stay here again

No breakfast booked. Clean and efficient. Stayed overnight for a party, and no issues despite a refurbishment being in progress. Unexpectedly great American diner for dinner opposite, not in the best nick but the food was excellent and well-priced.

Breakfast is absolutely excellent. Location is pleasant. Ideally accessed by car but taxis are available. Lunch and dinner menus are excellent and in fact the main attraction.

The room is very cozy and provides great varieties of drinks in mini-bar. Everything is clean and nice. We enjoyed our dinner and breakfast in the hotel, which are simply amazing! The teas and scones are especially with high qualities. We’re looking forward to visiting Greyfriars in the new future!

The hotel is situated right in the centre of Colchester, ideal for visiting the Castle, pubs and shops. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was excellent. Breakfast was really good too. The hotel was spotlessly clean in our room and all public areas.
