Picton-House is an inn with a classic design. Beautifully varnished wood furniture sits alongside the neutral tones of the bed linen, all brightly lit by the rooms' large windows. Rooms are en suite, some with a bath and others with a shower. Each room comes complete with a flat-screen TV.

Our room was very comfortable and a pleasure to come back to every night. A really great shower and fluffy clean towels every day and with the lovely hosts Holly and Gareth, nothing was too much trouble to make us welcome and relaxed.

The is best place to stay if you are planning to visit Skanda vale, as the drive from this hotel is hardly 30 mins. Botanical garden is around 20 mins and the town center is around 20 mins equally. very slient place to rest and has a hotel attached for breakfast and dinner/lunch. All in all a place worth to stay.

The staff members were very friendly and helpful. Although I didn't eat or drink in the restaurant, it was good to see lots of customers there (sign of popularity). The inn had a comfortable and cosy feel. It is situated on the side of a main road leading to Carmarthen, but I didn't hear too much traffic noise. Ideally situated midway between Carmarthen and Laugharne. The bedroom and bathroom were compact but very clean - the bed was very comfy. Would happily stay there again.

Had dinner at the resturant. Staff were very helpful and apologetic when there was a problem with one of the meals. Cost of the meals was discounted.
