Fond memories of our night at the Engine Inn. Mostly of the cheeky bartender and a couple on a getaway weekend. (Babs, you know i'm talking about you!) Food was great, company was great. Together with family, it was a good night in Holker!!

Was a fantastic stay , the staff where amazing and made us feel very comfortable - they had an reduced menu but the food was so good we ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel each night :) Highly Recommended
Check in pleasant, rooms ok and as described, plenty of tea and coffee!
Nice pub and loved the pool table and juke box for good old fashioned fun after dinner!
Breakfast was amazing freshly cooked and so much. Dinner was very relaxing with a very verified menu and all freshly cooked and so tasty. Room was large ,well presented with a brilliant power shower ad plenty of hot water.
We have stayed at the Furness many of times cannot fault the Hotel at all love it better then any 4 star hotel. Breakfast at weatherspoons lovely and a good price we stayed for two nights and had dinner there as well food and drink value for money in all a brilliant experience as always.
Modern decor, comfortable and clean. Dinner in Oscars was lovely. Absolutely must visit Furness Abbey which is not even 5 minutes walk away, it’s beautiful and a nice space for a walk around - I reckon the hotel should set up a cheeky entrance discount?
beautiful hotel with comfortable and spacious rooms. Lovely decor and very pleasant & polite staff. Dinner was excellent in the restaurant, and breakfast was good .
I must thank the staff from John who greeted us and helped with our luggage,Summer who served our dinner and was so lovely and helpful to JT who went above and beyond the next morning when my husband was unfortunately very poorly. The hotel itself is very clean and accessible for disabled people. The food was really great and we hopefully will be able to go back again in the future.
What can I say, the whole experience was exceptional. Breakfast was plentiful. Dinner was delicious. The staff were attentive and made me feel like they were working just for me, particularly the staff at breakfast and dinner. It was lovely to have a bit of interaction and a laugh or two. The grounds were sensational and the walk to the abbey was magnificent. The checking in and out process was seamless. I cannot recommend high enough. So glad it was available.
It was a lovely family run guest house ,
