Monika is a brilliant person and this house is very special. It felt at times more like a really good air BnB than a hostel as there weren't loads of travellers staying for much of the time I was there - but those who were there were mostly lovely and it was good for socialising. As other commenters have said, the house itself is actually an antique, a piece of local history, and very beautiful. The old pictures on the wall in the dormitory are of Monika's great grandparents who founded Jardín. Monika has a heart of gold and is a vibrant character within the fabric of this paradise town. She went out of her way to help me with whatever I needed. Her puppy and two cats are so cute too. Beds are basically double beds. Rooms get cleaned every day. Beautiful garden out the back too for chilling/eating breakfast etc.

The location is maybe around 3km from the village, but we walked it and also it wasn't any problem to get a tuktuk. We had one of the big rooms with jacuzzi and it was super amazing. Enjoyed long hiking around the village as the nature there is amazing, and then relaxed the legs in the jacuzzi.

The owner if the hostel is nice and understanding. I didn't have a bed for my first night there and therefore slept on s mattress on the ground which is why he didn't charge me for that night. When I spontaneously wanted to stay a night longer that was no problem either. The hostel is really basic, but clean and has everything you need. It's also located at just a few minutes by foot from the main square which is perfect. Despite the inconvenience in the beginning I enjoyed my stay at casa de la abuela :)

Stunning views surrounding a gorgeously planted rustic hostel. Lots of seating area, spacious room, hot water, all the necessities in the kitchen, friendly staff who you communicate with in Spanish.

This is a great place to stay in Jardin. The tranquility the view and the staff are exceptional. Breakfast is a surprise every morning that will make you happy. You also have the option to join for dinner in the evening. I had a private room with my son.

Location, staff excellent. Beautiful garden. The rooms are clean and confortable but rustic. Our room had an excellent area with hammocks, a beautiful view of the Church. We also stayed at the Campestre, besutiful place, peaceful, we saw the gallito right next to us, an amazing experience. Take the bus to take you , it cost 50 cents, clean and reliable. A lovely experience.

Good location. Breakfast on the deck overlooking the valley. Waking distance to a waterfall where you can abseil. Dinner en familie was tasty and all sourced from the garden. Loved the homemade kombucha. Is somewhere you might want to spent multiple nights to get the full experience but is not practical for heading into town at night Filtered water available

Amazing view and property! Waking up here in the morning was a real treat. The staff here are all incredible and really make this property special. They were all very welcoming and friendly. The rooms are extremely comfortable and well done. The surroundings are stunning. Breakfast was delicious and not too basic like many other places that provide breakfast. We also had dinner here one night and it was delicious.

Loved my stay over here so much! Beautiful view and the BEST food ever! Saw many colorful birds. Everything is made with love. It felt like home from the beginning and because it’s a small lodge, soon felt like a family. Big shoutout to Alejandro and Eva! Muchas Gracias para todos

We loved our stay here - the nicest places we stayed in Colombia! The area is beautiful and the guest house has some of the best views around. Also, we felt so welcomed and were helped whenever we needed it! You must stay here if you can! And there is a pet cat, dog and tortoise who make it even better 😀

The views of the mountain side, the lovely huge breakfast, delicious dinner for a fee were all great. The dorm room was spacious, the bathrooms were clean with lots of hangers which usually most bathrooms in hostels lack. Hearing river flow and many birds was an amazing sight.
