The High Country Inn is in a great location with all shops and dining choices within walking distance. The staff were all so accommodating and helpful during our stay - they also provided bear spray to loan for our hikes. The style of the Inn is an 80s/90s lodge, so it isn’t super modern but it is very quaint and cute. The amenities were exactly what we needed and if the Inn didn’t have something we needed, we could be directed by staff to where we could easily purchase. Great value for money and great service, would recommend!

This property is just on the edge of the town so it was quiet. Great scenery from the balcony. Rooms were clean and comfortable although any conversations in the hallway could be heard in the room at night. I really loved the toiletries that were provided as well. The hotel provides guests with a bus pass (valid on routes 1,2,4 and 6) which were sufficient to get to and from the city and some nearby attractions like Lake Minnewanka.

We got an upgrade to a loft room, which was really nice. After a couple of weeks on the road, we enjoyed having the kitchenette, to be able to cook our own dinner, (warm up a nice soup bought at the excellent IGA in town). Location suited us and we enjoyed the 15 minute stroll into the main strip of Banff. Roam Transit was super efficient to get around the rest of Banff, with a stop just a minutes walk from the property. Breakfast was enjoyable as well

The view was exceptional. They have the really nice balcony. Microwave is provided, making it easy for us for easy dinner or breakfast. The covered parking spaces are underneath our building. Easy in and out to get out.

We had three rooms- the first was a suite so two rooms connected in the main hotel. Beautiful rooms and very spacious. My son and daughter in law had a suite at the Guest House. This room was very old and not really up to the standard of the Fairmont Hotel. There were chips/dents in the furniture and the paint was peeling. I let the hotel know this room needed a makeover!

The fireplace is the draw! Fabulous. Very comfy room, so rustic and in keeping with the vibe of Banff. Had dinner and breakfast at their restaurant, The Prow. Very tasty, especially the warm gingerbread cake for dessert and the bison blueberry sausage in the morning. But we've been making this a yearly trip because of that fireplace!

The staff were incredibly friendly. The location is nice, towards the beginning of town, but completely walkable distance to downtown Banff. The King Loft suite met our expectations. It's rustic, while still being cute and comfortable.

This was a real Inn, with cooking and common area facilities and no hustle bustle or corporate feeling like a hotel would have. The staff were so friendly and manage the place perfectly like innkeepers should! Very down to earth and comfortable, rooms a little quaint but adds to the charm!
